E55 AMG Makes the Grade and Goes into the 10s

When chasing speed, nothing is ever enough. Take, for example, this E55 AMG. Over the past year, forum member “bstudey01” has been chasing the ever-elusive sub-11-second barrier with his 2003 E55 AMG. After working with a few speed shops and getting what they describe as a “killer race tune”, the car finally managed a 10.85 @ 128 mph.
For a car that weighs that much, is still rear-wheel drive, and tends to smoke tires rather than hook up, that’s mighty impressive. It was also one of the last drag days before the end of the season as you will see in the video. Check it out. The noise this car makes is epic at the burnout pit and as it is heading down the track.
