Mansory Makes G63 AMG 6X6 Even More Monstrous

If you’re looking for a “Look-At-Me” vehicle, few rides attract more attention than the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6. But apparently, Mansory felt like it needed to add a few more feathers to the G63’s already beautiful plumage.

The German luxury car modifiers rarely do anything subdued, but their second take on the G63 is only for the boldest of buyers. Or perhaps for the most narcissistic? Or perhaps the most overcompensating? Or maybe just the richest?

Not that Mansory has released pricing info, but with all the finely sculpted carbon fiber bits ‘n pieces, it won’t be cheap. And you have to already own the car, so you’re already quite rich, seeing as the 100 or so G63 ever made were already sold at quite the premium. And that’s it. Mercedes has called off production to make the beast — which was originally listed at 379,000 euros — an instant collector’s item.

So if the car’s already a classic as is, you really have to be bold, or something, to want to modify it so extensively. But hey, you are talking about an increase in output of roughly 300 more horsies; Mansory’s newest marvel boosts the already flame-throwing 5.5-liter V8 biturbo from 536 to 829 hp. And the torque, which normally (and I use that term loosely) measures 560 lb-ft, is cranked so high that Mansory’s engineers had to electronically cap it at 738 lb-ft.

And that’s just in the engine. There’s much more to this carbon fibered peacock, which you can read about over at Mansory’s blog. But before you do, let us know what you think, does the instant classic G63 AMG 6×6 really need so much “improvement”?
