Yup, the cat’s out of the bag now. And from the looks of it, we’re betting most here at MB World will be fairly pleased with the outcome.

The spy shots, picked up from Motor Authority, capture what’s believed to be the new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, a sportier version of the GLK replacement. It’s clear that some of the design elements first shown in the concept at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show have undergone some of the usual concept-to-production modifications. But the new Mercedes still appears to be quite the looker, sitting on that carrier.

In the U.S., the GLC Coupe’s powertrain will likely include the 241-HP turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder equipped in the GLC. However, there’s expected to be a few other options, like an AMG model that’s equipped with a 3.0-liter V-6 with an output rating of 362-HP and 384 lb-ft. of torque.

Pricing for the standard GLC Coupe is expected to start at around $45,000, roughly $5,000 more than the GLC.
