Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400 Battles Mercedes E55 AMG
Because someone up there loves us, there seems to be a never-ending world of E55 AMG clips on YouTube. I’ve now spent more time watching E55s, stomping and wailing on unsuspecting cars, than I have catching up on Parks and Recreation. Seriously, these cars are loved.
Oh, and they’re properly quick, which the video below perfectly illustrates.
In the video, a tuned E55 AMG goes up against what appears to be a Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400. For all us Americans, the FQ-400 was Europe’s more powerful Evo, the one we never got in the States, the one that likes to eat Lamborghini’s for lunch.
But guess what happens when it goes up against a proper Mercedes E55 AMG?
Yeah, the Evo gets its butt served up on a platter. Although, I’m not so sure the same would happen if the two had left from a dead stop. That Evo’s AWD system is fairly slick, and I’d be surprised if the E55 could get off the line as cleanly.
What do you guys think? Would the Mercedes still have won?
