If you’re unhappy with your awesomely expensive, ludicrously cushy, German panzer that is the latest S-Class, Mercedes has you covered with the new Maybach.

The tattooed, skunk Mohawk-wearing, heavy metal drummer is definitely not the typical S-Class clientele. But no matter someone’s outward appearance, the S-Class transcends all stereotypes. Take drummer extraordinaire Jeremy Spencer, for example.

A Maybach SUV could be coming very soon, according to rumors spurred on by Mercedes Benz boss, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, while at the Detroit auto show.

Hybrid cars, including those of the plug-in variety, have been on the road for quite a while. By now, I thought the perception of them as slow or boring would have gone away, especially since models such as the Porsche 918 and Ferrari LaFerrari exist. I guess I was wrong. Mansory, surprisingly, didn’t go all freaky with the M1000, which is based on the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, and left the exterior rather subdued. That’s a good thing because there’s 1,000 horsepower under the hood, making this sedan one of the best sleepers ever.
