Mercedes-AMG gets a rage-filled beating and new ‘paint job’ from an ex with a bat and can of spray paint. Cheating is never worth it.

If you have a car like the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe, you need to be careful about a lot of things. For instance, you have to make sure you don’t take it into rough parts of town. Parking it is another consideration. You don’t want to leave it anywhere near a shopping cart or too close to another car, whose opened door may dent it. As this story shows, if you have a Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe and you’ve been cheating on your significant other, you have to be extra careful where you leave it.

According to news.com.au, a woman in her 20s driving a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen pulled up to this ill-fated S63 parked outside of a Kent Town, South Australia apartment complex. After getting out of the G-Class, she began to calmly deface and vandalize the expensive coupe, which is supposedly owned by a local businessman. She spray painted the words “cheater,” “slut,” and “man whore” on various body panels in black and left a few ugly streaks of paint on it. One witness said, “She painted one side then went around and painted the other side, then got back in the car and got out the bat,” which the woman used to bash the passenger-side mirror. Rampage complete, the woman fled the scene of the attack.

After the initial story of the crime was released, a different woman arrived to move the S63, which is believed to have been purchased only a week ago, into the apartment complex’s parking garage. Perhaps it was the woman at the center of the apparent affair that led to the vandalism. If so, she’s a walking example of someone who was in the wrong place at the right time: after the angry woman with the bat left.

Derek Shiekhi's father raised him on cars. As a boy, Derek accompanied his dad as he bought classics such as post-WWII GM trucks and early Ford Mustang convertibles.

After loving cars for years and getting a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Derek decided to get an associate degree in journalism. His networking put him in contact with the editor of the Austin-American Statesman newspaper, who hired him to write freelance about automotive culture and events in Austin, Texas in 2013. One particular story led to him getting a certificate for learning the foundations of road racing.

While watching TV with his parents one fateful evening, he saw a commercial that changed his life. In it, Jeep touted the Wrangler as the Texas Auto Writers Association's "SUV of Texas." Derek knew he had to join the organization if he was going to advance as an automotive writer. He joined the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) in 2014 and was fortunate to meet several nice people who connected him to the representatives of several automakers and the people who could give him access to press vehicles (the first one he ever got the keys to was a Lexus LX 570). He's now a regular at TAWA's two main events: the Texas Auto Roundup in the spring and the Texas Truck Rodeo in the fall.

Over the past several years, Derek has learned how to drive off-road in various four-wheel-drive SUVs (he even camped out for two nights in a Land Rover), and driven around various tracks in hot hatches, muscle cars, and exotics. Several of his pieces, including his article about the 2015 Ford F-150 being crowned TAWA's 2014 "Truck of Texas" and his review of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, have won awards in TAWA's annual Excellence in Craft Competition. Last year, his JK Forum profile of Wagonmaster, a business that restores Jeep Wagoneers, won prizes in TAWA’s signature writing contest and its pickup- and SUV-focused Texas Truck Invitational.

In addition to writing for a variety of Internet Brands sites, including JK Forum, H-D Forums, The Mustang Source, Mustang Forums, LS1Tech, HondaTech, Jaguar Forums, YotaTech, and Ford Truck Enthusiasts. Derek also started There Will Be Cars on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
