YouTuber Shows Off Magnificent Sounds of the AMG GT63 S 4-Door

By -

Matte blue limited-edition AMG GT63 S 4-Door makes noise all over the town and countryside of Bremerhaven, Germany.

The Mercedes-AMG GT is the ultimate AMG. Just you, maybe a friend, a long stretch of road, and a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 to deliver anywhere from 469 to 577 horses to the blacktop beneath the massive rear tires. The drive is breathtaking, and the sound is astounding. Nothing can ever top the experience, except, perhaps, for another, newer GT.

But what if you have a family, though? Shouldn’t they, too, get to partake in the joys of the GT? Thankfully, Affalterbach delivered a solution for the 2019 model year, in the form of the AMG GT 4-Door. YouTuber Automann-TV, who prefers to keep his identity a secret, has such an example at his command, and it’s a very special one at that.

“Cold-Start & pure exhaust SOUND footage of the new 2019 / 2020 performmaster GT 63 S ‘1 of 31’ based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63s 4-Door,” the YouTuber wrote in the description. “This version pumps out an unbelievable 740 hp + [1,400 lb-ft of torque] and features some very [exclusive] Aero-Parts called AERSPHERE!”

The limited-edition custom GT 4-Door was built in celebration of performmaster’s 31st anniversary, and not only includes the aforementioned aero kit and increased output (a standard GT63 S 4-Door makes 630 horses and 664 lb-ft of torque), but also a matte blue finish, and a lowered suspension.

Thus, this special GT 4-Door now leaves the line to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds on its way to a new top speed of 211 mph, quicker than the stock 3.2 seconds to 62 mph and 196 mph. We can only imagine what driving this on the unlimited stretches of the Autobahn would be like. It definitely looks great against the backdrop of the countryside just outside of Bremerhaven, Germany.

It also sounds great wherever it goes, whether it’s the YouTuber’s personal garage, a parking garage at the maritime quarter of Havenwelten, or on the roads weaving through the outskirts of town. And no matter if it’s a special edition like this example, or one straight from the showroom, the AMG GT 4-Door is the perfect way to take your family on a ride few ever get to experience.
