FINALLY! Installed my 400hp 16v motor. pics

Cant wait to see it run!







P.S.
The last pic shows the removeable front crossmember tube, still need to plasma cut some bolt holes.

LS1's typically produce 350-360 crank horsepower(300-310 rwhp), bone stock. This motor has a 224 duration cam .565 lift(only one!), dual exhaust(when finished) with no cats. Probably not 400 crank without LS6 intake but that will come later.

oh, ok it the V8 chevy motor......... I though it was inline 4 v16......

4l60e 4 speed auto, stock converter at first. It will get a 3500 stall eventually.

e34 would be much easier, you should do it!
You would not have much trouble selling the motor and trans(or finding a cooked motor for that matter).
There is a e36 minus motor at the junkyard and there is a lot of room under the hood. Already rack and pinion and good crossmember location.
Im sure the e34 has wider framerails and is a little longer under the hood.
