Gallons of gas?
How many gallons of gas should I be able to put into my car? I have gotten 13.5 before.I think maybe even 14. I thought I only had a 12 gallon tank??
What is the msot you guys have ever put in your gas tanks?
What engine do you have?

Most I have ever filled up with is about 12.6 or so I think.
But then I don't completely empty the tank before I fill up. So there is usually still one or two gallons in before I fill up.

The 1993 model year gas cars have 14.5 gal (55L) fuel tanks. If you would like extra range, find a fuel tank from a 1986 or earlier 2.3-16, which held 18.7 gal (70L). For some reason the 1987 2.3-16 was just a smidge less capacity, 0.2 gal less.

Your wealth of knowledge amazes me!
I guess I can get almost 14 gallons in lol.
So how do I calculate my MPG at a half tank? Is that 7.75gallons divided by how many miles I whent?

The problem with that calculation is that it assumes that your fuel gauge is accurate.
Most people roughly calculate mpg by filling the tank till the auto shut off clicks once, then driving. At the next fill up, refill the tank to the same auto shut off. Then divide the miles by quantity of fuel added.

My gas gauge and millage are almost 100% accurate as far as I get ~75 miles per line. Now, it could just be consistently wrong lol. I thought each line was ~3 gallons. But now im finding out its more. I did a quick guess and I got that im getting 19mpg using my new calculations. That sux! Thought I was getting 25.
My clicking thing is never that accurate. It depends on how fast the gas is being pushed thru the line. Ill have to give it a shot.
