190E Rear Speaker Deck
A group buy from Germany is being organized for this interesting piece of metal. Initial contact with the company is putting the price between $50 - $100. Final detail about price and shipping are being worked out, but the buy will be done around April 15th.

really! Quite a few W201 and W124 owners remove the first aid box and fabricate a grill so that trunk mounted subwoofers can be used. The gas tank makes a pretty effective barrier for getting trunk woofers to be heard without popping the rear deck.

Who makes it? Where can I get one? Since my 1990 2.6 is given me so much love for the last 15 years i've decided to fully restore her and give her some major upgrades... this would be a good addition to the plan.

Sad tos say that the group buy never materialized. The deck is made by a German company called TechArt and the decks sometimes show up for sale on Germany Ebay.

**** gotta get me one of those!! AT the moment now since it's under long term restoration (cause no money to do it fast! Heh!) had it dismantled it. In fact right after it was removed it became dust!! 15 years ago the previous owner of the car left the car in the desert and a sand storm happened!! The back deck just brittled because of the heat!!

Don't hesitate to ask the seller (translated in German) if they are willing to ship to the USA. I've done quite a few auction purchases from Germany by asking the seller. The biggest issue is getting them the $ since most German Ebay sellers prefer bank wire transfers, which and be pricey here in the US to Germany. Paypal is slowly catching on.
