Just glad to hear that you're OK. I know that I have been in an accident in my old W203, and I know that the car saved my a**, and that's all I was worried about at the time.
The worst part of accidents: having to drive whatever the hell they give you as a rental, because it sure won't be a C55...

I AGREE the stupid cops in BC definitely SUCKS
one time I was in richmond at night driving my car home. As i was going thru an intersection, there was a cop car in an ally going towards me. That cop was supposed to stop but she didnt and she almost T-BONE me. There was no sirens or lights flashing on the cop car at that time. she pulled me over and said I almost killed her and gave me a ticket for failing to yield. THE WORST THING IS THAT THE STUPID COP WAS SMILING WHEN SHE GAVE ME THE DAMN TICKET. I am still pissed about this now and i am going to dispute it in court.
anyway, just wanna share my experience

Im a little confussed? were you the one at fault? if it wasnt your fault the other guys insurance company should be payin for a rental i didnt fully understand your story sounded like the othere guy ran a red or you did?

yeah bro, they're pigs so i am not surprised at all. i would bring a lawyer with me to the court. i would not only fight the ticket but sue the city b/c she is not allowed to run a light w/o sirens or lights on. what a joke.

i have terrible back problems and have on going physio twice a week, massage therapy pnce a week and frequent visits to teh dr.

Yes, VPD does have its share of jackasses (Knight Bridge speed trap anyone)? But to give them credit there are may good cops out there too.

If the cop was in the alley and you were on a road, you'd win, hands down, the yielding should have been the OTHER way! Then you can countersue for wasted time.
