I've been given the same time frame for my car.
I did see a new sedan parked at my local shopping centre yesterday.

Considering Australia is not like America where everyone thinks they are special and get next years model a year ahead, I'd say the first 2012's will come out in.... January

If however you simply mean the facelift C63, a friend works at MB Melbourne and they've already had test models arrive for staff, so I'd think customer orders are coming in the next few weeks.

It was definitely the updated C63.

There was a black C63 coupe with Performance pack on showroom floor at Mercedes Brisbane last week. Apparently the customer bought it while he's waiting for his Black series to arrive.

My dealer just contacted me earlier in the week saying that the car won't arrive until November. Anyone else have this same issue? Something smells really fishy here... the post about one dealer informing their customer about a 'shipping delay' while in fact the car was to be shown in another dealer is getting me a little worried!

Was in getting service at dealer yesterday. When went to pick up car literally being loaded off the back of a truck was one of the new C63 sedans. Still covered in all the tape and protective plastics on the doors and bonnet/boot etc. Metallic black with black/white leather, "new" version of 18 inch AMG rims.
Not real sure of the black/white leather - looks great when new but wonder how it will look in a few years unless it is cleaned every few days. The new dash/trim looks excellent, overall has quite a bit more "upmarket" feel to it than current model.
Sales guy reckons this is one the dealership ordered back in April/May. No order on it yet, was mine now if I wanted - 170K on the road!! Otherwise will sit in the showroom, maybe a few short drives for serious buyers and regular customers, until sold.

I just went to the dealer and she told me that the C63 sedan will be in the showroom 11 of November. Finally I get a proper date!

She did tell me however that there is a severe shortage of PP cars and they've been pusehd back to Feb/March!!! Lucky I didn't order one...

I received my (non-pp) sedan last week. Boring silver with black.

I am extremely happy with the car. Obviously a completely different beast to my previous C280. I like the styling updates and it reminds me somehwat of my earlier E46 M3. I actually like the updated wheel styling as well.

The intital start up sounds pretty crazy but the whole sound it makes is beautiful. It seems a lot more refined than the E92 M3 which I was looking at as well; which in the car I test drive had a a subtle but annyoing whine.

The ride doesn't seem as hard as the pre-update cars which I test drove. It certainly doesn't ride as hard as my old M3.

I have only tried comfort mode with the MCT gearbox. The intial take off doesn't seem as smooth as the older 7 speed. You can almost feel the clutch being let out, kind of like the DCT/SMG gearboxes. Once on the way however, I haven't noticed any difference.

Here are some quick pics -

Looks great.
Where are the photos taken - is that north end of Warriewood beach??

Have noticed from your photos a subtle change in the upgrade models - the little piece of trim at about 8 to 11 o'clock on the rear guard, behind the rear wheel, has been deleted

They should call you Hawkeye! Right on both counts.

I just noticed the mud-flap change today. A relative of mine has the updated C250 which still has that trim piece. It looks a bit clunky. It seems to have been replaced by a length of black plastic that you can barely see on my car. It extends past the body by about 7-8mm.

I have a relative in Australia and we discussed my order for a C63 in Canada.

I was shocked to see the price of this car is almost double in Australia than what it costs in North America.

I have the same piece of trim on the rear guard of my 2010. They also seemed to have changed the colour of the brake caliper's and the AMG logo is white rather than black. That trim looks amazing. Very nice car.

C63 AMG Coupe, BMW E92 M3 manual
I've been told 12 December now on my PP C63 coupe. The wait has been interminable, but local dealer has been good enough to let me occasionally drive C63's when in stock, to remind me what I'm hanging out for!

Now to start thinking about selling my near mint RS4 cab....

Very nice indeed. Did you manage to get the dealer to lower the price at all of the carbon interior trim?

I think it was about $2.75.

They knocked a bit off the whole car. Didn't bargain over individual extras. They only had a small quota of cars for the remainder of the year and obviously didn't want to discount too much (if at all).

MB Brisbane told me only today that my PP Coupe has been pushed back again
due to shortage of PP parts.

Now build 9th Nov - Delivery Jan 9.

Anyone else had their orders pushed back?

Anyway still worth the wait.

Cheers

Marty

I'm not sure if it makes any difference at re-sale time but you might want to make sure you get a 2012 compliance plate if you can.
