Mercedes Bluetooth (AWS) Phone Compatibility List
Question for you, I have a 2006 E320 CDI (02/06 build date), the phone is not wired for the phone system and I being in CA have to add a BT system to the vehicle and also want to add iPod integration.
I have looked at some info on the OEM BT puck and wiring along with the ability to add VCS to it but the cost is a bit alarming to me. I do like the OEM stuff over aftermarket in general.
The aftermarket unit I am looking at is a MoBridge with BT & iPod integration.
So questions are:
1. Would OEM VCS work with the MoBridge unit
2. Is the OEM BT better than the MoBridge unit for reception, clarity and use
of steering wheel control. I have an iPhone with 1800+ contacts in the
phone book
3. Assuming the OEM makes use of the Tel-Aid phone mic, etc.
4. Saw Kevin's PDF and think I could handle the install myself if I knew all
the parts for my car.
Thanks for any feedback and info.
Be advised though that if the Tilt is not compatible with MB, you still won't get things like phone book downloads. You should be able to place and receive calls, at minimum.
You will find it easier to buy a phone that is compatible with your car than to find equipment compatible with your phone.

Edit: The above code: 62872 is correct. But as mentioned in my post, it is also listed on the puck. See this post for more info in case you forget the number in the future (see image 3 from the link below):

Samsung Jack: 4
By using the original key, it does not do 4. All others work with the BT puck.

KEY:
1. No PhoneBook Download
2. No Call List Download
3. No 3 way
4. No SMS Download
5. No DTMF Tones
6. No Signal Strength Indicator
7. No Speed Dial
You probably can't get an answer because your question is just a bit off the beam. There is no "chip" - it's an entire system, with several components. You don't identify the "set" for the phone that you're talking about - we don't know what you mean.
Your car uses an MHI phone system. The phone bulletin for your car, which identifies the system components, is at http://phdwebsite.powerpulse.cc/Phon...0C%20Sedan.pdf. You can read a bit about equipping cars with an MHI system at post (permalink) #5 at http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audi...des-plug.html; and post #1 contains additional information about version coding and also other sources of parts.
The phone bulletins for the C-Coupe and C-Wagon are at http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm
Please read those materials, and if you still need help, ask again - preferably in the "How To Guide" string.
