CLK 55 AMG with Command - satellite radio possible?
Sorry if this is a repeat guys but I did a quick search and I couldn't find anything specific to the CLK.
I'm looking to see if I can add satellite radio to my folk's 2005 CLK 55 AMG. It does have the Command/Navigation option. I've read that Command allows you to add satellite radio, but there's been nothing specific about the CLK, nor was the dealer very helpful.
If I can get satellite radio through command, what MB part number should I order?

Hey 919 - you have a link or source on MB disco'ing the SDARS module? I know they are now selling an integrated HD/SDARS module that should work with the older COMANDs - this will be I think the 4th generation of SDARS for MOST.

you can still buy the actual sirius tuner box direct from parts... its the whole kit thats not available any more. So you buy the tuner box and the MOST cable which are still both available separately...

Rob - is the combo HD/Sirius no longer sold as a kit, or is it just the legacy SDARS module that's disco'd?

Also keep in mind that the sirius/HD combi tuners are only available for the newer platform comand radios (W221, W216, W204, X204, W212, and the NTG2.5 comands). The older NTG2 comands (e.g. for 2004-2008 ML/GL/R/G/E/CLS/CLK/SL) have no HD capability and no updates are planned to add this.
The good thing is that they will have to keep replacement parts availbility either way so no matter what you can always just order the parts separately.
