B67875878 bluetooth module compatibility with HTC Phones
I currently am using the B67875878 bluetooth
module with my Apple 3g iPhone with no issues. I am considering switching to an android based HTC phone (Verizon Incredible, Sprint HTC EVO) I see no HTC phones on your compatibility list. Do you have any information about the newly released Android phones.Hi Greg,
Mercedes
has not yet released any test results for the Droid. You might want to contact Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center at 800-367-6372 to inquire about phone compatibility developments.
The new version B67876168 supports bluetooth PBAP which means it will transfer address books from many more phones, its been tested on the HTC Hero, Tatoo and in theory will work with all the newer Nokia phones.
Here is some more details about compatibility (bottom of page) ..

I see no reason why B67876168 wouldn't work in USA but obviously haven't tried it. I suspect the only difference is regulatory approval (i.e FCC approval vs CE approval)
MB parts info (ODUS) system does not mention a replacement for B67875878.

Also, part B67876131 (black) is the successor to the B6785878 (blue/silver) puck in the U.S.; it is smaller, but I do not know if its electronics or firmware are different.
I have used the B6785878 and the older version B67875839 here in UK (i.e on a UHI car) without any problem, and I know comand online has sold the occasional B6785877 to USA without any complaints.
This does not, of course, mean that B67876168 will work on North American MHI cars and there have been issues with making UHI phone systems work with MHI and vice versa (around address book transfer).
I have been led to beleive that B6785878 and B67876131 are pretty much identical. (apart from their looks).
However I'm sure if you contact comand online they'll be happy for you to return a purchased cradle if it doesnt work in your car ...
