Hi,
My central locking system does not work anymore and I expect a blown fuse but do not have the fuse box chart / wiring diagram anymore.
Can someone help me with (a copy) of the fuse box chart or wiring diagram please?

Checked each and every fuse in the fuse box in the trunk and in front under the carpet at the passenger feet space. Any fuse I could take out check and seemed to be okay.


Doors can be opened and closed from the inside with the open and close buttons. Mirrors can be adjusted also.


Still my key is not working, can it be my key (just replaced battery) or maybe the receiver for the signal?


Wipers do also not work, can that be related?


Car was without "juice" (battery disconnected) for 6 months,does that influence something?


Car doesnt start either, turns around but don't run......

Hi !

Yes i have same problem in the past but of course not in SLS ! So when my car stay for a long time without battery, my radio lose her program so even i enter my code that not recognize.

So the solution is :

- 90% of chance is just your battery in your key is very low... Because your car don't start too !

- 10% is the program in a security box is gone... So you should change it + your keys or just put a new code in your usual security box + put same code in your keys !

Thanks for the answer !


I already replaced the battery in my key............still nothing although I can crank the car but does not start. Car seems to see the key somehow when I am in it but cannot open or close my doors with it.
Am affraid I belong to the 10% and that some program is gone (after 6 months without juice it looks that way).........


Car will go to the paint shop next week and after that I will rebuild and assemble each and every part (some are still off) so that each electrical connection is made.


Again, thanks for the reply and advise. Still if somebody can provide me a FUSE CHART of the SLS AMG (even a copy) I will be very happy.

Ok ! But are you tried with another keys or you have only one?

I try to find a fuse chart of SLS AMG !

Only have one key....
I am Dutch (live in the US) so I am a "cheapskate" by buying a salvage one and of course such a car miss some stuff...


Still, once I am able to drive the car after SO MUCH work done it it I will have the BIGGEST on my face...

scan, clear codes, and does your key light red when a button is pushed? no, bad battery or key... or the wrong key all together

Yep the key light is red when pushed (replaced with 2025 battery)
It is the Original key as it worked perfect (opening doors, starting etc) when I bought the car.
Once I removed the trunk lid it did not start anymore (did crank) and took the battery off for the past 6 months.

i know that vehicle well, electrically, can't see anything messing it up

does keylessgo still work on the doors? did you try to start with key in the center console? does it do anything with the key in the ignition (EIS) like ignition or accessories power up? if not the key access the wires in the center console and see if they are connected and that there is power on the red wire

also check power at the keyless go module, behind passenger seat on the wall under carpet... also check ground there (brown wire) and the can wires brown and brown with red stripe should have 5 volts DC on CAN wires. its the white plug on the end

Woah, this is so helpful, thank you !


The car does not react on the key when I push the buttons open or close (it did before I started the repair and took the power off).
When I sit in the car it seems somehow to reconize the key and I can push the start button and the car tries to start. But it will not run.
When inside the car the buttons to close (not the ones on the key) the door and window buttons are working.
I also tried to start with the key in the center console. Does the same as with the start button; Cranks but does not start.
For the rest everything seems to work. Radio, sat nav etc etc.
Only thing that seems not to work besides the starting are the wipers.
Car is in gear (looks like) and in park. Cannot get the parking brake working also (ordered a second hand actuator to replace the old one).
Car is still not fully assembled, can that influence everything also?

definitely get to dealer so they can clear codes and update modules. going to cost a bit, but i am sure you budgeted it out as a need. good luck

For sure will do that as I want this car to be as good as possible. Thats why I did put so much effort in it already.
Budget................already over it (according to my wife )

Took a little while (travels, business stuff and waiting for the painter) but finally some good news!

THE CAR STARTED !! With help from jbondox and a local car mechanic we finally got the car up and running!

Now it goes to the paint shop again next week for the paint job (pre-work was all done) and then.....
