Hello all

As most of you would be aware (especially my fellow Aust. people) I've only been on this forum a little while now since discovering the new C Class Coupe around August last year and since then being very interested in it and exploring the possibility of acquiring one.

Along with a couple of other Melbournian folk, I was orginally planning to pull the trigger around March - April 2012, but decided now was the time

I made my purchase just before Christmas 2011, so it'll be a 2012 build plate vehicle with an ETA around April 2012.

In short my C Class will be a:

C250 CDI.

Diamond White exterior duco.

Flamenco Red interior leather with brushed aluminium trim.

Fully Optioned, ie;
AMG Sports Package
Vision Package
Comfort Package
Driver Assistance Package
Reversing Camera

And there's more AMG specific goodies on the way - CAN'T WAIT

Congrats mate! I'm still in the waiting bucket but should be any day, arrived on the 21'st at the docs, just waiting on compliance etc and then i have a new toy.

Hopefully you managed to swing a decent deal with all those options, regardless, good going mate!

I've been going back and fourth with 4 different dealers over the last couple of months and am quite happy with the end result

Just picked mine up before Xmas. Ordered it in September with everything except AMG pack.

Now going to de badge it and add 15% tint to the front windows to match the rest of the car.

You will love it!

Curious about the very dark 15% tint your adopting for the front door windows obviously trying to match up to the factory privacy tint, please when you have time can you post some pics for us

It's probably my only concern with this car, the fact that you can't match up the front windows without having to go to an illegal darker tint rating to match the privacy tint, otherwise you get 2 different shades.

Yeah. I'm waiting for my tint guy to get back to me with a matching tint. We think the privacy tint is 17 or 20%.

You may get away with 25% but that's still illegal.

Welcome to the forum kingsingh47, which city are you based?

I ordered mine on 13 March and have been told it'll arrive in 2-3 weeks time with delivery by the end of the month.

What specs did you get? Ie interior colour/trim etc?

By the way I'm thinking of organizing a meet up/drive in Melbourne maybe in a month time - by that time mine should be here already and so as to give everyone notice in
advance too. Are you guys interested? If so maybe I'll start a separate thread? I've lost track of how many Melburnians are here...

Welcome and Congrats

For Australian MB purchases if all goes well with no hold ups or problems, it's usually a 3 month wait from order confirmation to customer delivery, so expect delivery end July or early August.

Also vehicles will usually arrive from 1 to 2 weeks prior to being ready for delivery to the customer, if you have a very helpful rep they'll give you a heads up on its arrival and you can go view it from the time it lands in the Country

Thanks for the replies guys, my sales rep told me should be here mid to late July but was wondering what the average time was, the wait is killing me!! The number of youtube videos I've watched...

This is my first Mercedes and I'm amazed at the quality of customer service so far, I have exams on at the moment at Uni and they gave me a demo C sedan to use so I can get to and from the exams with no stress

I too had a pleasurable and smooth run from MB from ordering to delivery of mine

Don't worry about the wait, time flies...it seems like just last week I recieved mine, but its already been slightly over 2 months

Kingsingh47 I know exactly how you feel! The amount of c coupe videos I've watched, I think I've managed to go through them all. But we're on the home stretch now!

It's rather nice of them to offer you the demo, was it because you traded in your car?

Mid July is fairly quick actually, if I get mine by the end of the month it'll have been just under 4 months wait.

I currently drive a 350z, but I've given that to mum and sold her car privately. Was really nice of them to offer the car for me to use

I have to go work in a small town in August as part of my uni course, they said if for some reason the car is not here by then, they will lend me another one to use

I remember when I first enquired about the car in January, they told me if I ordered then I would get in early May. Now, they said would take 2 weeks to build and roughly 6 weeks to send over/get registered etc

MB Aust. are currently offering very generous incentives to get peoples business !!! economy is stagnant again and there's talk of rough times ahead, hence the incentives.

If you and I made a recent order DL250 rather than back when we did we could've scored better deals, they're now offering 50% upfront and 50% balance after 2 years with no interest for all private outright purchases...

There's also a discount of up to 40k on top of the range E Classes at the moment, one of my neighbours is considering updating his just on that count...

I've been offered a C63 courtesy car if I go back to my dealer for it's scheduled service interval - can't wait for that one LOL it's still 10 months away
