have you dynoed a 2013 with and without it yet? im interested in seeing the graphs. i have a '13 with the sports plus package and i dont really understand what you mean by "more livable". the car seems perfectly fine as is. i have driven a 2012 c250 and i can definitely see why people get this tune. the turbo lag was horrible when i drove the '12 but in the '13 it doesnt seem nearly as noticeable.

also, would you say that this tune helps more with E mode or is it equally beneficial for people that use S mode all the time?

I installed the JB+ on my 2013 with Sport PLUS Package and absolutely love it. It was on for a whole 2 days and I ordered the Intake. I adjusted from 50% to approximately 75%. Everything great- No CEL (Knock on Wood). I did adjust to to 100% before I installed the intake and had a temporary jerkiness at low RPMs while the engine was cold. I dialed it back a tiny bit (about 1/16") and no issues since. I left the JB+ at the 90-95% and it is AMAZING with the Intake. I am going to get some 105 Octane Sunoco Race Fuel.

Good to see some results from a 13' Sports package. AKA, at 90% you don't have any overboost issues or lag?

It's set at about 90% but I installed the Intake too. No issues and the performance is incredible.

Drove around today and was driving aggressively. Still no problems except for one time I was under hard accelerating and felt a slight loss of power. It immediately went away, but just to be safe I dialed back to around 70%-75%.

~ be careful using race fuel with catalytic converters in place ... it will damage the ceramic insides and lead to an extremely expensive replacement bill.

Wow! Thanks for the info. Do you know how high you can go and be in a Safe Range?
They have 260 GT Plus Octane=104/Research Octane=110/Engine Octane=98 and 260 GT Octane=100/Research Octane=105/Engine Octane=95

Terry, the new 2.0T is coming with the CLA250, hopefully you can have a JB+ ready to go for that engine. I am sure that engine will be much more responsive to mods as it will be the base for the AMG model as well

Report back after a month or so in 70-75%, no CEL. Does feel bit jerkiness when the engine is cold. Other than that, the car is much more drivable. I used to put it to 'Sport' mode all the time, with the tune, is not necessary and for the price, is a no-brainer.

2012 Mercedes Benz C250 Coupe
Thumbs up Works perfectly

I currently have a 2012 C250 coupe with both the Intake and Chip from Burger tuning and can say it is amazing as it does make a difference on your performance. Install for both is a piece of cake and the detailed PDF instructions work perfectly.

Would definitely recommend this to anyone driving the new 250 as it does make it lot more. Also want to say that I have sent several ones to South America and no issues on my friends cars.

I have a lease on a 2013 sport plus coupe. If I buy this, will I be able to remove it with no problems before turning the lease back in?
Edit- is it also worth the money without the air intake?
Thank you.

It is very easy and quick to uninstall. Even without the intake I think you would be very happy with it.

Guys, newbie to this blog, here... apologies if the question has already been answered, but... setting it to 50%, has anyone noticed any detrimental effect to gas mileage? I imagine there might be some, related to you enjoying the plus performance at first ;-) but am wondering if the chip itself will reduce mileage significantly (more than, say, average of 2 mpg). Thanks!

Hey AkaSigFreak, 24 is not bad at all... thanks for the reply, bud. Am seriously considering the JB+ when I pay off my 2013 C250 in four months, as the turbo lag is getting on my nerve.

GLK250
I ended up going with the JB Diesel for my GLK250 Bluetec. Not the same as the C250 obviously, but Burger is just now getting into Mercedes tuning after making its name tuning BMWs.

I bought and installed the JBD piggyback a few weeks ago. It was originally designed for the E350 Bluetec but the connectors are the same so it fits on the GLK250 as well.

I've been fiddling around with it, trying to find the optimal setting. Plus the weather has been really back and forth between sub-zero and spring thaw, so the testing conditions haven't been ideal.

At any rate, I'm finding that the 85% setting seems to work best in cold weather, providing the spirited driving without tripping the CEL. At 90% or 100% in cold weather, the CEL definitely comes on and I suspect that power is dialed back a bit (though not at all like a limp mode would be). However now that it's a bit warmer out, I've been leaving the JBD at around 90% to 95% setting and all seems well, though I need to keep an eye on it.

Net result at 90%+ is pretty impressive. I've not had the GLK dyno'd but I have owned some pretty buff cars in the past (APR Stage 2 GTI, Dinan Stage 1 BMW 135i, SRT Dodge Challenger, etc.) and I know what big power feels like.

I think it's fair to say that at 90% setting I'm putting down 450 lb-ft at minimum, likely more. Horsepower is harder to tell with a 4,200 rpm redline but 240 to 250 hp is completely in the realm of possibility. No sign of the ECU adapting and dialing back fuel pressure, either. On the E350 BT, power gains are quite a bit less. My guess is that's because the E350 is a single turbo V6 while the OM651 is a twin turbo.

Power delivery is much more linear than before. Off-the-line it just lunges forward effortlessly, making the GLK feel very very light on its feet (a sure sign that torque is probably within shouting distance of 500 lb-ft crank). Power at the 'high' end of the range (if 4,000 rpm can be considered high) is also greatly improved. All in all, the thrust is such that the tranny in Sport mode is shifting pow-pow-pow every few tenths of a second. No fuss. No drama. Just lots of go.

As for fuel economy, it's hard to say since I haven't burned off a full tank. However, highway mpg seems to be up by one or two, same goes for city mpg. Now that's with regular driving. Under a heavy right foot, my economy hasn't changed at all from my pre-JBD norms.

All in all, well worth the $300 that I spent on the JBD. From what I'm hearing, the JB+ is also good, though not without a few glitches (same as JBD).

Please update your User CP to include Location. I am willing to let others drive my car to see if they like the JB+ and Intake on the C250 Sport PLUS. Haven't had any dissatisfied drivers yet.

I'd love to drive your car but you are bit far from where I live.

I was too lazy to read the whole, california people read this in the burger website so I'll contact to see if they are selling this tuner to the california peeps.

But in the mean time...do you guys have any info about it?

C250 Sport
Maybe my answer is in this thread somewhere, but I decided to jump ahead and just ask. I have a 2013 C250 Sport and am very interested in purchasing the tune. I'm buying and not leasing my car, so it's under warranty for six years. My question is: If I install this tune and it comes time for my car to go into the dealership for routine warranty maintenance, can I un-do this tune without Mercedes-Benz ever knowing of it and not lose my warranty?

1. The piggy-back tune can be undone just as easily as it was installed

2. Your warranty is not affected in any way. Makes no difference if you own, lease, borrow, steal, mooch or your grandma makes the payments and let's you take it out on Sundays.

3. With that being said there is no reason to take out the tune for any dealership visit.

4. The only exception being is if a warranty claim arises in which the tune itself has caused damage to a component of your vehicle or its electrical system. With that being said the dealership has to PROVE that it was your tune/ecu flash that actually caused the failure. Not a easy task.

I have a e92 335i that with numerous bolt on mods and various piggy-back tunes (SSTT to JB) has undergone 2 fuel pump replacements. All serviced with the mods on the car.

Also my e82 135is that is "lightly" modded has never raised any questions at the dealership.

Same goes for the c204 C250.
