My C250 coupe build thread
Apologies to 190Benz for O/T post but hope that helps
Those brakes look unreal. Your car must pull up unbelievably well now. The braking power of a performance pack C63 with a car that weighs 100s of kilograms less. Porsches would have trouble out braking you now!
@angeloxnet: I would not say it's very crazy
But thanks for the compliment!@mtxkidd2: What av1 says is right. The dynamic handling shocks have electronic dampening. So the shock would have a strange bulge like in the picture (that's my oem shock) with a cable going to it to control the dampening. If you look in the KW,Bilstein,H&R,... catalogues you can see that most of them are for the non handling package cars. But some people here have fitted them without a problem on their handling package cars.

@AV1: No need for an apology brother!
@Blickling: I will try to dyno it saturday to see if the Burger Motorsports filter is any good. Imho it isn't except for the sound. I still need to modify my turbo and custom map the ecu. I think the company that has my ecu will probably have it cracked already. Just haven't really checked the status. I'm still working on the brake adapters. I'll post some info. But I am looking forward to the stopping power yes. Should be crazy!
On the highway the car is a real dream to drive. KW DDC suspension on the soft mode, cruise control with distronic and relax while you drive. Once at the ring, suspension on the hardest setting, sport mode on and drive it like you stole it! The car did well. Everything acted like I wanted it to act. The only letdown were my tires and brakes. I am still driving on my winter tires so that problem will be solved quickly. The standard brakes are good for regular driving. But for track use they aren't. Brakes fade and don't brake hard enough before entering a corner. But we are working on it with the C63 brakes

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

@Diego: Thanks!
@AkaSigFreak: Thank you! Yeah the ring is only a 2 hour drive from my home.
Do you know if air filter from JB will fit E coupe? because we both share same m271.evo engine.
P.S. did you consider kleemann as downpipes with cat? btw, i am really looking forward when you will get downpipes and make the video.
@dav461: The OEM filter on the E250cgi and C250cgi is the same. So am guessing the filter will fit. I did consider the Kleemann downpipe. But I think it's to expensive for a simple downpipe. That's why I had one custom made. I will try to make a video when I find the time.
I ordered a set of 20" Brabus Monoblock R wheels with Michelin Super Sport tires. Should be great tires. I wanted to buy a set of OZ Formula HLT's but the 20" isn't released yet. And I don't like driving on my winter tires when the weather gets warmer so I needed a set quickly. I always liked Brabus wheels. The Monoblock R is a special design and I'm looking forward to seeing them on my coupe. If I don't like them I will just keep them until the Formula HLT 20" is released.
Can you tell me. Was it hard for garage to make downpipe? did they also make high flow cat ( 200 cell ? ). can you give me any recomendations? because in my opinion its overpriced as well. simple pipes do not cost more than 1,000 euros.
I am working on getting a bunch of downpipes fabricated like mine. It will have a 200cell cat just like mine. Keep following my topic, I will post details here.
I dream car prices would be same in our countries as in USA.
One of my friend told me, that they can produce High quality stainless steel downpipes decatted for 400$ only. This is very promising compare to kleemans 1000euro. lol

Just hope the 'skinny' profile tyres required for 20's dosn't hurt ride quality too much
I've never seen a standard coupe with 20s, should look pretty good though. When I say standard I mean like not C63 black series. Your car is anything but standard!
18 and 19 seem to be the popular choices. These are like a better version of the E90/2/3 19" M3 rims. Very stylish.

A popular choice seems to be the Vossens in the U.S.
It'll definitely be a firm ride on any C Coupe with 20's but I suspect in combination with the KW DDC coil overs 190Benz will be aiming for a tight chassis and handling prowess as well as looks

Apologies again for O/T 190Benz
@AV1: I'm getting good comment from people who had the Michelin Super Sport and are very happy with them. The low profile tire is just for looks and know my ride will be a bit harsher now. But I'm hoping to compensate it with the KW DDC kit on the softest setting. I might get a set 18" replica wheels to put some semi slicks on to track the car. No apology needed ;-)
@Blickling: As AV1 says, there are some non-AMG coupes here with 20". Most of them on Vossen's. I like the look of a lowered C204 on 20's. For a sedan IMHO 19's are better looking.
@Anz33alone: Thanks for sharing... I guess.
can you give me some tips on installing in right way please. i will really appreciate it.
