Question What's a fair price to install H&R springs and alignment?

I don't have a spring compressor and thought it would be easier finding a local
shop. I also assume an alignment is a must (though other cars with minor lowering I never aligned). Is there a magic number when lowering that an alignment is needed (especially on MB cars)? I was quoted $700 for the job (everything - out-the-door price).

$700

It would be cheaper to buy a spring compressor , then get an alignment, then resell the compressor...

I hear you. From the offline replies and search results, it sounds like $300 to
install and another $150 to align. I do see the spring compressor for sale on
ebay. Big bucks.... A resell for sure.

Unhappy

I wish I could find a shop or someone around here at a good price. I cancelled the $700 price job and will keep looking.
