coupe amp rack and sub enclosure
here is a pic of my install in progress. my friend and i built it. i am very pleased with the way it turned out. now i have to wire it up, install the door speakers and head unit.
btw, the box is built out of 3/4" mdf, the "kompressor" is the lettering off the back of my car, and the mb emblem was handmade. it was a pain in the a$$. i took a photo of the emblem on the back of the car, blew it up, and used it for a model to get the proportions correct. then from there it was a compass, ruler, and about an hour with the diegrinder. it looks so sweet. i topped it off with grille cloth, to give it that embossed look. my only regret is the color of the carpet, i wish i could have gotten something a little closer in color. the greys were just too different, and the black was just the best compromise.

my man! keepin it real with the JL's. Let me know how they sound. Iam thinkin about adding two of those or the 6.5s to get more mid bass. The w7's only hit the really low frequencys. Also what HU and highs are you runnin?

very nice, i like that kompressor peice how did u make that?
i was going to get 3 JL subs u have probally seen it. they come in the box already. well anyway i decided not to mine hits hard enough and sounds very good especually just for one sub.

well, i sort of cheated on the kompressor logo, it is the one off the back of the car. i just spaced it out different.
i saw those boxes at my stereo shop, they are great, and way easier than building. i like that my enclosure still allows access to my spare tire.

i wish i was able to get to my spare tire easier but i cant without taking out my box wich is such a pain.

As long as you can get to your spare your fine, its not something you go for everyday. Im installing dual 15"Subs in mine, and I made sure that my subs can come out just in case I need the spare one day
