Squeaks and rattles: How are things?
If there is one thing I cannot and will not stand for in a car, its annoying squeaks, ticks, rattles and the like. They collectively drive me absolutely nuts! 
My 4 BMWs have been pretty good-only minor issues fixed by me with a shim here and there. Now that I am considering an MB, I'd figure I'd get a feel for how owners perceive their cars, especially since they seem to be like me a often rather fussy.
In short, how are things in the unwanted noises area?

Mine, being 3+ y.o., has been surprisingly quiet. The pano roof squeaks every now and then when the car's body experiences torsional loads (e.g. backing out of a steep driveway with a left turn). The driver's seat gave me some problems after I used leather conditioner - squeaked as a result of rubbing against plastic cover on the left (fixed by dealer). Other than that, quiet. No rattles or squeaks from the front at all.

Mine rattles a bit on the rear doors, rear deck and seat belt height adjuster only when you're listening to a music with deep bass and or with high volume. Shim here and there will fix them or bring it back to the dealer....

Mine squeaks like a ****. The primary squeaks are from the drivers seat. I'm 6'2" and 210lbs and when its warm outside the seat squeaks. My 110lb girlfriend doesn't cause the seat to squeak.
I've lubricated the springsand other mechanics under the seat, yet the squeaking comes form the leather rubbing the vinyl and plastic.
I've decided once the weather is nice I am removing the front seats and applying a layer of felt between all surfaces that can potentially rub.

My 8-months old C180K's rear suspension squeaks whenever I get in/out of the car. This is when the parking brakes are applied. Can be quite embarrasing when you have other people around the car. Other than that, its been ok.

Those are not squeaks, they are cries of help. If you recorded it and played it back slowly you will be able to distinguish what it's really saying - lose weight, get off me, put the skinny chick back on...
Just imagine how much it squeaks when we're both on the seat
The trick to the seat not squeaking is: don't clean your car. After conditioning the seats and protecting the vinyl the squeaks are the loudest.
Do owners with the cloth seats notice any squeaks?

My C is now nearly 3, and solid as a rock. Every time I think I got a rattle, I track it back to something i left in the car somewhare.
My ML on the otherhand......don't go there. Still love it though - like a child that has dropped out of school or something.
