Vivration noise from the rear

I just took the car to the dealer (for 3rd time) for vivration sound/noise comming from the rear of the car. Is anyone had same experience? I went on a road test with the technician and he acknowledged the sound. However my gut feeling tells me that the dealer might not have an answer.

I get the same sort of thing too. I believe that it's a loose trunk handle; others have said the same. However, I'm wondering if you have a coupe or a sedan? It might make a difference.

I have a coup. My dealer told me the same thing (trunk handle) and they supposely fixed the problem however it came back.

I haven't tried this yet, but it just came to me. Try stuffing the hole between the handle and the outside of the trunk with some rolled up foam pads, and use some painters blue tape to keep it in there as you drive, just to make sure that that is indeed where the sound is coming from. There's also the possiblilty that it is a loose option cable in the back right, like the ones for the telephone, knocking around back there. As I remember, they were all wrapped up in foam, but not secured. Somewhere else you may want to check.

On many 2002 Coupes the noise comes from the bezel surrounding the rear window glass. Try stuffing a thin piece of cardboard between the bezel and the frame of the rear hatch. Its obviously not what you want permanently, but it will let you know where to send the dealer looking.

Mine made this noise when new, oddly it went away over time.
