New In-dash System!!installed!
I got my kenwood kvt-815 in with the navigation unit. still waiting on voice command and tv -tuner but its looking good. install was hard....had to change all the fiber optic cables because of the bose system...im glad the system still works but i had to get a new amp for the bose SUB so the sub is sounding a lot better now. The only thing i really lost is the cd changer but who needs it when i put like 10 CD's into one disc by using MP3's. The replacement kit was really nice because it looked original with the car. I'm pretty happy with this system and i get to watch movies while moving haha here are some pictures! Give me feedback please!

That unit looks like it belongs there. That is nice sweet setup with the Bose sub running on a wired amp. I am not suprised it sounds better, Bose always sounds good, but they sure practice "minimalist" design in their electronics.
I like the pop out video screen a lot, lets you hide from the wandering eyes of the theives and the law. (I have received four CVC 27602 (TV in front seat) tickets in my lifetime.)
You are also right about losing the CD player. They are about as useful in todays cars as an 8 track player with a Vibrasonic reverb. I plug a MP3 player into the the AUX input, and I have the same amount of music that used to take two trips with a 6 foot dolly to move.
Does this Kenwood unit have a remote so rear seat passengers can make adjustments?

hmmm, have a weird smell coming out of the truck hatch...the part that latches the trunk down...im getting a weird smell im not sure what it is...but it smells....and its not a good smell...im wondering if n e one else has this smell...started getting it a day after the head unit install...and ideas?

yea kinda...its a weird smell....i checked out the amp...it wasn't that....the only place was the trunk latch....weird it kinda smelled like a electrical thing but iono....have any idea at all?

I don't have a clue. But if it's electrical, and you're certain that it is not related to your aftermarket modifications / amp....
then I would definitely take it in to the dealer to investigate.
I don't know if you saw the thread with the COUPE that completely burned up. Fire started with an electrical glitch in the rear latch or taillight. Still under investigation.

found out where the smell came from! the Bulbs for the license plate were so hot that it started heating up the plastic around it so i had to go get some new bulbs...back to yellow for me...Dont put those Blue blubs which give you a really bright white color...its too hot for the plastic....thanx for the help guys! The Kenwoods doing just great! Loving it!

I want to put a new stereo in my c240... I'm going nuts without in dash MP3... I bought an Ipod, but that's a crappy solution.... Clue me in to where you got your install parts....

BTW- Glad you found out where that smell was coming from! I was thinking the same thing Saprissa was...burning smell is usually from the amp.

dude your decks fits in nicely, mines is a piece of crap..... i have an avh 6500 which also plays dvd but my indash kit is ugly....... the pic is kind of dirty, where did you get your indash kit at??? i want one like .
