I finally finished the heated steering wheel mod as well. It works great although not needed at the moment in this 100 degree weather. It involves the following parts:

Heated Steering WHeel 211
Airbag 211 for heated wheel
Wire Harness
Entire center column switches including steering adjustment, blinker, cruise, clock spring, steering wheel control module, angle sensor.
Control Unit (DC/DC) Converter
Heater Control unit inside steering wheel
Some connectors

Could the mod be done without replacing the column? airbag?

 

i think the shape of the airbag is different because the steering wheel is different, therefore you have to change out the airbag.

 

how did u change ur mid. console to the 2005' one? i thought its not possible to do so..

yeah you can do it, but most of the wiring has to be changed out as well. im still planning on doing vented seats myself. only part i have so far is the CLK switch row towards it.
