Oh, a warning about using metallic tints: your radio reception will go to crap if you tint the rear windshield. My FM reception is still generally good, but AM is useless half the time...

Bay Area (South Bay) Tint Shops Recommendation
I need to have my tint re-done. The felt liner scratched all my windows. Anybody have a tint shop that has done the moleskin liner on the windows? Preferably a shop in the San Jose area.

Orion Blue and tint color
I searched the forum for "Orion Blue tint" and not much came up. I'm going to get it tinted on Wednesday and not sure if I should go with a reflective tint or smoked. Since Orion Blue isn't too common of a color, I don't have anything to look compare. The concensus from my friends is pretty much split in the middle. I do have a heads up about the scratching thanks to this forum. I'll let the guys know this before they tint my car. Thanks for any input.

tint & dimming mirrow question + a funny story
driving home today from school I notice the auto dim mirrors doesn't work as it should like it used to. It still works, but it doesn't dim as much as before. Could this be caused by the window tint? since that the tint is blocking out light from behind and the sensor might believe that it does not need to dim as much.
the story:
So on my way home passing some slow traffic I got behind this older Prelude (90's Prelude) w/ bluish headlight. I didn't think too much, so just kept my 2-3 car distance behind him as he was going fast enough for me. Around the 15 fwy interchange (we were on the 60 fwy going west bound) the traffic in front starts to slow down, but the right lane was still open for a fairly long distance till another group of slow moving cars. At this time, the white Prelude moves to the right most lane and guns it. I followed only at a slight increase in speed and just gradually pass the cars that was in front of us. Right when I was thinking "hmm...should I chasing him down? since he probably thought I wanted to race him" I saw a Police K9 unit on my left hand side two lanes over about 2 cars distance, so I quickly pull my feet off the throttle and slowed down. On the other hand, the Prelude was going all out passing the Police K9 like there's no tomorrow (or he didn't even see the giant POS Ford). After I slowed down I saw the Police K9 speed up and caught up w/ the Prelude. Now I'm thinking to myself "good thing I wasn't gonna race him" as I saw the Prelude starts going in and out of the carpool lane w/ the K9 cruiser right behind him. The idiot in the Prelude probably thought someone was racing him or something. Moments later, the cruiser flashes the lights and pulled the Prelude over in the carpool lane. I was laughing so hard all the way home after that.

Window Tinting in San Jose Area
Anybody here tint their windows using the moleskin? If so did a shop do it for you and how much did they charge? Mine are scratched like crazy!
