clear side marker not flashing..help!!
I just got my clear side markers today from procarparts.com and they came with 12v 5watt amber bulbs. Install went quick and easy on my 04 c230. However, the bulbs don't flash when i put my turnsignal on but they do turn on solid (no flash) when i put on my headlights. The side marker is supposed to blink right??? any help appreciated.

thanks everyone..I thought I somehow screwed up the easiest install on this planet! Wonder why they put lights on the car that stay solid amber with white headlights? I'm thinking of switching the clear bulbs back in for looks but then again, I never noticed the amber before so maybe it's not so bad..

they do that because if some one is driving this way --- and some one is pulling out this way ^ the person going --- who for some reason cant see a 2 ton peice of metal infront of them will see the amber lights of the person going ^ and go "oh... a car" and not hit you... mind you this is the theory.

Euro Strips are available from Steve@MBenzNL.com e-mail him for prices & details.
Yes, they will fit the stock bumper. They are MB OEM parts for Europe only.

Clear bulbs with clear covers would be illegal. Of course, I have euro strips, so I'm no one to talk...

Just to give you an idea, the 2000-2005 BMW 3 series had orange sidemarkers, just like the benzos, but they did not light up at all. The reason I know is my homeboy had a 2000 3 series and he was thinking about painting his orange reflectors (which eventually he did) and I asked him if they actually light up, but he told me they did not.

anyone with the f1 sport clear sidemarkers notice the hole on toward the front of the marker (closest to the front of car)? anyone know what they are for?

that's what U.S. CUSTOMS normally puts on contraband items, like pirated CD's & DVD's, as well as fake Louis Vutton & Gucci purses.
but on your clear markers ? I don't know...
Maybe an air vent or water drain so the lens doesn't fog up, like it will anyway in a few moths !
