You see how Glyn's car doesn't have a side marker? That's what a Euro Impact Strip Is. Your won't have those hole things because Glyn has Distronics. Yours will look even. Just imagine the way it is now but without the plastic side marker. Just 1 piece.

IMO the Euro Impact Strips look more cleaner but you will have to buy them at 50 dollars then have them painted. Then take of your old Impact Strips and put these new ones. (more work and more money)

Here is a Euro impact strip thread.

For now I just want to put in some smoked side markers, I might get the strips later on.

Do you know if 02-06 side markers fit on my 07?

Well I just ordered the black CL style grille, and flat hood emblem.

Don't have too much money for the strips on the front, cause then you gotta paint them.

I'm saving up for a nice headunit.

Maybe when the tax refund comes

Ya 02-06 will fit the 07

Why don't you just paint them instead. Or wrap them in Vinyl?

Well I already ordered them for 30$ with chrome bulbs.

If I sell my car or something, I want to be able to put back the OEM ones.

Clear side marker lights

Anyone kno whow to remove the old amber ones to repalce with the clear euro style. I have a C300, 2009. The Right side was a hassle, but I managed, the left side is impossible to reach unless I pull off the wheel well cover (which are impossible to remove) Any tips?

I ended up getting the JTauto front bumper (Carlsson Rep) and there aren't any side markers. My 194 bulbs are just dangling inside the bumper.

OPINION NEEDED

Hi guys,

I have a black 2002 C230 Kompressor. I was wondering if I should go with the DEPO smoke side marker/bumper lights?

or if I should go for the DEPO clear side marker/bumper lights?....

any suggestions?

cheers,
..Paul..

Not too much a fan of the clear on black. If you go with any housing, you should get stealth/concealment bulbs (silver coated ones) so amber or blue ones don't stick out like sore thumbs.

I think a lot of people here will suggest Euro impact strips.

Paul, I have a black C-Class as well. I've gone through the clear sidemarkers, smoked the stock orange ones myself and now have the euro impact strips. the strips are my favorite look:
