Or get the euro strips without the side marker lights. That looks the best.

Clear sidemarker @ SF J-Town Auto Freak

Did anyone buy their clear sidemarker at SF Japan Town's auto accessory store before? Just wondering if the quality is better from this store than ebay and autodynamic.com since many people said the sidemarkers from ebay and autodynamic are not fitting perfectly. Any suggestions on places to buy good quality ones?

Which ebay seller did you purchase your clear sidemarkers from? There are quite a few of them, and people were saying that the ones from ebay didn't fit good. SO just wanna know who did you buy it from. Thanks

I bought some off from eBay, the total with shipping was $36. The seller that I got them from was f1sports. He doesn't seem to have any listed right now though. They fit pretty well, they are not quite as tight as the stock ones but I think they'll be fine. I'm still trying to decide how much I like them, they are better then stock but I think the euro strips would look better. Then again, they are 4 times as much...

Oh, and I put amber bulbs in them. During the day with the bright sun you can barely tell they are amber but at night they are pretty bright.

I bought mine from ProCarParts.com in El Monte, CA.
They also sell on eBay. I think it was around the neighborhood of $35 like everyone else. One fits perfect (passenger side), the other is not quite as tight as the stock one but still pretty well fitted. It's not coming off anytime soon, and you can't notice it unless you try to pop it out. I kept the amber lights on them, because I didn't want to risk the Fix-It ticket at night. During the day, you can't tell the bulb is amber and the lights look great. At night, they are super bright !! Love 'em when I

Saprissa,
Can you tell me which brand and model number is your amber lights? I was thinking to use either PIAA's xetreme white wedge bulbs or PIAA's new white LED wedge bulbs that just came out. Do you have a pic of your car at night with the sidemarker?

What's up with all those "crooks" on ebay? They will sell you a set of clear sidemarkers for say $30, then charge $12 for shipping!? I contacted one vendor local to me and told him I would go pick it up. He said there will be a $10 handling fee.

They all sound very fishy to me. Don't think you only got your sidemarkers for $30. After adding in shipping you probably paid close to $50! Realistic shipping charges to them probably cost $2.

Pr0carparts.com ain't any better either. $10 to ship 2 sidemarkers. What a rippoff.

Grand total comes to a whopping $55.55, for 2 pieces of plastic that probably cost them less than $5 to buy from China.

Yep, the eBay way. Charge a lot for shipping hoping that people won't realize it until it is too late.

If you go with eBay, make sure not to use buy it now from the sellers. Bid and wait for the auction to end. It will take a couple of extra days but you'll save some money. There is usually not a high enough demand for these that there will be multiple bidders. I bought my pair from a seller then had it starting at $25 with buy it now for about $33. I bid the $25 then paid the $11 shipping he wanted. He did not include any free amber bulbs though. Maybe he was pissed I didn't use buy it now? Anyways, those cost me an additional $4 at a local auto parts store.

depends on the paint, spray accordingly

i bought the pre-painted side markers from evosport for $99, and the light still shines through. but because the light is coming through an oem reflector that is just painted to match the body color, the light is quite dim and doesn't look good. so what i did was just take the light out of the side marker, and just tied it to the inside of the bumper with a simple plastic tie. and now the light doesn't shine through the marker, and the light error won't come on because the bulb is still connected. hope that helps.
