Hello all,
I recently introduced myself in another thread after I took delivery of my new 2006 C230 Sport. The pictures I took at night didn't come out well, so I took the opportunity of a nice day to give the new girl a bath and shoot some pics.
I really enjoy washing a new car for the first time. It gives you such greater perspective on the lines of the sheetmetal, and the fitment of the panels. To date, this car has been a joy. The only complaint is I can't get it away from my wife enough to drive it!
Here's a few samples from this afternoon's photo shoot:

Then I had to go find a nice, artsy backdrop. lol

(good setting)
welcome to the forums!
welcome to the forums!

Thanks. I've got a few spots around town where I like to snap pics of my cars.
I also have a 92 Mustang, and for that I prefer older, run-down industrial settings for pics. I may try a few of those with the new car.
Since I'm whoring it up, here's a shot of my mustang and its, um, kompressor! lol
OK, I now promise to only stick to pics of the Benz hence forward!
Thanks again for the welcome!

The third picture looks like something straight out of the C class brochure! Looks great
white w203, it's apples and oranges. The benz is head and shoulders a better car on every level, a joke to even compare.
Except acceleration. It would lose horribly there. lol
Amy, it's funny you say that. I thought the same thing when I uploaded it, and my ironically wife is very much like "Emma" (from the brochure) herself. This may become the car's name.

Thats odd that the 2006 C230 has the same wheels as the 2005 C230 SS. I saw another 2006 C230SS but had a different wheel in my area.

320hp/347tq on the dyno. Motor is stock from TB to oil pan. I'll be doing some heavy mods this winter (cyl. heads, cam, intake, etc), as they are piled up and ready for the off-season tear down.Originally Posted by StapleGun

Thanks for the welcomes from all today. I thought this thread had disappeared.
Still loving the benz!

Mods are possible, but not for a while. Originally Posted by valdes

Frankly, I really like the wheels on the car. There are a few others that I might like more, but not enough to justify a healthy outlay of cash.
A few appearance mods might be fun in time. One project I'm going to do is make some illuminated door sills myself. I think it's a really cool option, but not worth 500 plus to me. Fortunately, having my own cnc machine is helpful here...
