I'd like to upgrade my headlights to HID, which means that i need a clear lens/projector. Now, i heard that as an alternative to buying a brand new set of clear/projector headlights off eBay for $400, i can just buy the lens/projector itself for only $150. Now, i've been searching high and low, but have been unable to find these items. Who sells em?

IMO You're better off buying oem bixenons. They're exactly what you're looking for. If you go with some cheap knock offs, you'll regret it and end up buying oem anyway

That's cool then. Go ahead and spend the $400 ($150 lenses, $250 on low quality HID kit). Not to mention, if you don't have a heat gun (Another $50-100) to unglue the lenses. And then the silicone to re-seal. And the time and effort that'll need to be put in it.Originally Posted by Mr. Corporate

Have you done these types of things before? If you haven't, expect to be spending a long time and take into consideration NOT being able to use your car (since your headlight assemblies will be removed) for at least 1 full day.

Something else to note that was mentioned before is that it may be that the frosted lens headlights aren't configured to focus light the way the clear lens headlights are, so you may end up with less light and blinding oncoming cars. You may just want to go with the 05 headlights (which are clear, yet not as expensive as the BIX) and put whatever bulbs you want in there. They're not $150, but you may be able to snag a pair for about $500. Or, you can ask Steve, who has a full 05 update kit with clear headlights, clear fogs, new tails, and one or two other pieces for about 1k.
I agree with you on the price; if I recall correctly, dealer price for the option was about $800, and that with the auto-leveling equipment and headlight washers. So why are we paying $400+ over that? The world may never know... or someone here can tell you why.
