Hey guys, i've been thinking about getting rid of my C230k and either trading it in for another with auto tranny or having someone take over my lease and getting another one. I'm supposed to have knee surgery on my left knee, then after recover and rehabilitation, possibly on my right as well. (football injuries) So i really won't be able to drive my manual for quite some time after. My dealership has an 05' w/ 9k miles but no xenons (not that big of a deal right now). Think they'd swap me or at least take mine back and out of me lease, and into this one without much difference in payment? If someone wants to take over the lease, I wouldn't be looking to recover any of the money out pocket. Just take over my lease of $390 a month. I looked on swapalease.com and didn't find many in that monthly price range. my lease is for 15k miles a year too. Has 12k on it now (mainly cause i drove it to florida twice) and i'm allowed 48k and change total. 31 months left on it. anyone interested? any help is appreciated.

thanks for the support guys. the surgery shouldn't be too bad, it's just getting it back to normal that will suck. need physical therapy for about 6 months after. hoping to be ready for softball in the spring and football in the fall. i have a torn meniscus and it seems that my cartilage also never shaped properly since birth. which is strange b/c i never had a problem even when playing football in high school. i'm 27 now so it's odd that it's gotten this bad at this time in my life. it's actually locked up on me a few times and took me a couple hours of slowly bending it to get to move right again.

i called my dealership and they want me to come in and work with me. new lease special is $329 a month w/ auto, sunroof package and CD changer. hoping they'll do auto, sunroof package, and heated seats with no money out of pocket for no more than $430 but i'll try and get it even lower. any other negotiating tools you guys can recommend? i know about their incentive for me giving them a excellent survey after delivery. what else is there that may be some hidden incentives for them. looking to go with white on black. thanks again fellas!

Sorry to hear about your knee surgery. I can totally empathize because I had 2 already. One in 1995 (right after graduation) Right knee - ACL and 2nd was last year Left knee - monochondral tear of the cartilage.

The ACL surgery was hell, but I got through it alright (just developed tendenitis in the process). 2nd surgery was much easier, but long term recovery is not as stable as ACL surgery was (surprising enough).

Well, I guess that's what happens when you play basketball all your life. Good thing I wasn't tall enough or talented enough to make it to college or the pros because my knees would've been a lot worse.

Good luck with everything and if you have ANY questions about knee surgery, don't hesitate to ask.

BTW, sucks that you're thinking of giving up the benzo, but definitely understandable. Believe me, if you trade it in for an auto, it's not as bad as people make it out to be.
