Here's the home rolled version. Good luck guys. Total cost should be under $30.

I just got the Hoen 5w bulbs installed over my plates, as others have said it doesn't add any brightness at all. Anyone expecting them to be as bright as the pic on their website will be disappointed, but it does produce a nice pure white look...which is a helluva improvement over stock, so i'm happy i made the upgrade. It sucks that the covering plastic lens is so thick and smoked colored cuz it really kills the brightness. I don't think i'll take the LED plunge unless there's a quick and easy $25 solution that eventually comes out.

Hahahaha...Thanks. It was Shannon Brown's first game as a Laker. Most exciting defensive foul I've ever seen (he got called for a foul on the play, even though replay showed it was clean).
Getting back to topic, I'm gonna have to take a look at the install before I do it.
MJ, make sure to bring the E class next weekend!

MBWorld Fanatic!
where is "fry" where you got the resistors?
and in the final pic, i take it the white thing is the 100ohm reistor and the 2 blue things are the splicers?

i just ordered hid kits for my low beam and fogs
now im looking to do my city lights and license plate lates
ive seen the ones on ebay leds with the resistor for the city lights, but not the license plate lights.
is there any updates in which they now make led's with resistors to use our cars,as far as license plate lighting goes???

anyone try these?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318
instead of cutting into your own wiring harness, couldn't you just solder the resistor onto the led itself??
