Getting back to topic, I'm gonna have to take a look at the install before I do it.
MJ, make sure to bring the E class next weekend!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
9 LED SMT Festoon bulbs from autolumination.com...
5 watt 100ohm Resistors from Fry's... ($0.89)
Splice "adapter(s)" from Kragen ($3/pack of 7)

and in the final pic, i take it the white thing is the 100ohm reistor and the 2 blue things are the splicers?

now im looking to do my city lights and license plate lates
ive seen the ones on ebay leds with the resistor for the city lights, but not the license plate lights.
is there any updates in which they now make led's with resistors to use our cars,as far as license plate lighting goes???

instead of cutting into your own wiring harness, couldn't you just solder the resistor onto the led itself??
