Hyper-White & LED License Plate Lights thread

How about tell us something we don't already know?
Then again, what would I know since I just sit around and rely on picture DIY's.

Ive decided to stick to the no error ebay ones as well.
The lights are REALLY bright but unfortunately these will not fit the CL203 without a little work. There is an extended edge on the housing for the Coupe so if you don't want the gap in b/w the light and your trunk then you will have to cut the stock housing and retrofit it with the Racing Dash housing.
I don't want to do any cutting before I have a second set of license plate light housings from MB. Once I do then I can fit them with the Racing Dash lights and get rid of the extra space.
I'm still running hoen in the Coupe for now and the Racing Dash lights are in the W203. Very easy install, just plug and play!

Much appreciated.

This is the link to find out what number designator each bulb is (i.e. license plate light is a 6418) http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/
Then go to the cross reference table provided on the site, or click on this link http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...bulb_cross.htm
Then find the exact bulbs you need on this link, the license plate lights that I got are actually $14.95 ea but they are super bright. They are located on the link towards the bottom of the page and are labled as High Power 6-LED Festoon bulb (get the 37mm cool white LED).

I wrote to them and this is their reply!!!
I'm sorry but "W5WB" doesn't cross reference any of our bulbs.
Check the base type and dimensions of your bulbs, then see if we
offer the bulbs in our Car Bulb or Other Bulb categories. Use the
"more info" buttons on these pages to see dimensional drawings and
compare with your bulbs.
Also, please read our Car Bulb Notes page. It contains very
important information that you should know before changing over to
LED bulbs.
None of our car bulbs have built in load resistors.

The seller seems to claim that they are error free and theres a pic of the lights on a C class. Its hit or miss with these ebay lights...

Fingers crossed.
The problem with the V1 was heat. The new version has the circuits built into the metal tabs which dissipates heat on the metal contacts versus directly onto the board to aid in keeping the leds cool.
