Hyper-White & LED License Plate Lights thread

I'm going to give it a shot.

....they're the cheapest ones i've seen....

I'm buying the regular led's and installing a resistor myself. e_1000 has a great writeup on how to do it.

Currently waiting for the LEDs...been a week and a half since I bought them off eBay

It involves removing the felt liner, then the brake light cover, then the entire trunk plastic liner which I could not get out after hours of trying...so I give up.
Not worth SO MUCH effort for the license plate bulbs. Might go the error free LED way.
Supposed to be easier on the sedan.
Anyway, if anyone needs the 2W LED's I bought (pair) + the 5W 22ohm resistors (pair) + the heat transfer compound + wire taps, let me know.

I cant justify spending 30+ bucks for some LED's and a resistor! What a ripoff.

I'll take some better quality pictures later tonight.

Atleast I tried guys...besides I had problems removing the liner and getting access to the wires. This is supposed to be a super easy job on the sedan...much harder on the coupe.
Anyway if this forum is about making fun of people who actually try....good on ya...while you sit around waiting for others to post picture DIY's....LOL
GET A LIFE!

After my failed DIY...Im looking at these error free LED's. Are these fromt he ebay sellers or the MBW sponsors? Also, how long have you had them in for?
Thanks.
Just joking around. Cann't anyone on forums take jokes any more. Maybe I should have put a j/k in the original post.

And yeh I still say it is a ripoff...and im sure you agree too. But if I cant get to the damn wires in the coupe to install the resistor, and want the white lights, not much I can do but get ripped off right? Again..I atleast TRIED to not get ripped off...rather than just blindly go and get ripped off without a fight.
Anyway whatever...its all good! Forget about it.

Getting to the wires in the coupe involves removing the felt liner, the huge plastic trim (which pretty much covers like 80% of the inside of the hatch), and then a third plastic liner which would not come off after hours of effort.
But why do we need to do all this? Arent the LED's you used plug and play?

Although there seems to already be a fool proof fix for the sedan.

How about tell us something we don't already know?
Then again, what would I know since I just sit around and rely on picture DIY's.

not all good at hand work...
