I got a silly Question will the Dealer sell you a

If you order a car brand new but you say to the dealer that you do not want the rims and tires , no MB emblem and grille , no front lights and no floor mates no radio just basicly the body and interior seats because you will buy everything seprate yourself(I know its stupid to do and cost more) but could you do it and will the car be discounted wayyyyyy down. The reason I ask I saw a sticker and they charge you for the KEY to turn the car on so why include the tires and rims and lights if you can buy them else where yourself. Please this is not what reallllllly will happen just a thought that I had and be nice.

.
think about it...would it be safe to sell you a car with no lights? a safety item? i dont think this is possible at all, just buy a salvaged car if you are that concerned with the price...

The car has to come with headlights. It's the law. Many dealers will buy back the unused wheels from you for about $1,000 (My friend did it with his Cadillac CTS-V). As far as the radio, emblem, grille, and etc., these are all factory parts so there is nothing that the dealer can do about it.

Years ago I was able to buy a car in this fashion, ie... no wheels, bumper, or radio. I hate to break it to you but MB won't diminish it's "brand recognition" by parting out cars pre-sale. lol....... maybe kia will but it doesn't exactly fit well with MB's marketing.

Why? Are you trying to improve on the $4500 down offer you posted earlier. Get a clue. If you want parts why don't you build it yourself. Guess you haven't searched what it costs to get BIX from the factory with all the standards and warranty as compared to jury rigging it afterwards; just as an example.
BTW, railroad ties as bumpers are out of fashion except in redneck country.

Honestly, i dont think you're going to get a serious and knowledgeable answer here. I say you call the dealer and find out yourself

is SOLD
its not worth it. i doubt they would haggle on lowering the price without those items. even if they did agree to take off the items they would probably charge you for taking them off.

if you get the whole car, then strip it and sell the brand new parts, you'll prolly make more money back than the discounted price, all depending where you find your buyers.

i don't know if you can. but i'm curious what people would do with their own engines when they replace it with a brabus 6.1 or carlsson engine. there must be a way to get the car from mb customized a bit to your wishes, but i think it would be best to find a used/salvaged car and customize that instead.

That might be a core exchange. They give you a modified engine, and then take your stock engine and modify that to sell to the next customer.

Here in the US, if you talk to someone who has any power at MBUSA you might be able to order a car like that saying something like you are going to build a race car. But that would be tough, and would need to talk to the right person.

even for car fleet sales, its rare for a car company to remove standard items during its manufacturing process (hubcaps, body colored bumpers, mirrors etc...). we used to try that for our cab company but kia, mazda, toyota even refused to remove basic accessories such as rubber door mouldings. and we are talking here of 25-100 cars per order.

How bout' tires & wheels?

Well I have a silly question too. I think the standard 16" wheels on the 06' C280/350 look like something off a Toyota Corolla or Kia. However, I like the ones on the sport models, which have large 17" wheels.

Will a dealer allow you to order a luxury model with the sport wheels and only pay the difference in price between the two?
