def get the aggressive one, anything less would be cheating yourself. instant burnout when you step on the gas? in a 6 speed yes, in the automatic, i'm not sure since i haven't had much time behind the wheel of anything other than C240/280 automatics my dealer loans. C280 could do a burnout before the sprint booster.

Well I just installed the SB last night and I must say what a difference! (man when the gas pedal came off I couldn't believe it! )
The car seems to be just looking to go faster and faster..kinda scary at first.
Positives: The car is more fun to drive now / the car accelerates easier at just about any speed / car just seems faster in general / works awesome when making a passing move and it kicks *** on the freeway
Negatives: I had to re-learn how to drive my car again / 1st gear at times can be a little sensitive = a little bit of whiplash / I am sure I will get worse gas mileage / you kind of loose the soft and gentle side of your car that you might like when cruising (stop and go traffic)
Overall I will keep the SB mainly because it makes the car a blast to drive...
1 question though: I might be paranoid but doesn't the SB put a lot more strain on the car?
I plan on keeping my car for a while and I don't want to take any risks that might hurt me in the long run.

What happens when you push the gas pedal all the way down with the SB installed? Is there still any power left to use?
(I went from a ML320 to the C55...so I don't think I need this thing yet!)

Don't people in this forum turn on their brains anymore? This is a bogus, it was obvious from the first post. It is in the same league as a "super-ground-wiring-kit" - look it up if you are too new not to remember.

I don't know what the big debate is all about, I purchased one from SLKfans and I think it does what its suppose to. It advances all the throttle response into the first 1/3 of the pedal movement. It increases your reaction time from having to fully depress the throttle and wait a second for everything to happen to BANG! It all happens now. Does it increase your horse power, no, does it make the car faster, no, does it make it more responsive, Yes! For me it might be a little to touchy for my commuting I have to do each day but I will wait to see if I get used to it. As for the whole snake oil claim, Don't buy one?? I don't know what else to tell you? It's kind of like complaining about who is president and never voting, or watching TV and complaining about all the violence without just changing the channel or turning it off. Just make your opinion known by not buying. Thats how the whole economy thing works.

I happened to ship one unit of the sprint booster to an E55 enthusiast. Can't imagine the resultant throttle response . Besides, he has the K1 in it.

Had a chance to test drive her all day. I can now vouch for the functionality of this mod. This Sprintbooster mod was fairly cheap and simple to install with some simple household tools.
Those guys weren't lying when they say that their cars felt like a V6 was transplanted. This thing now pulls awesome. It is what a W203 with an M271 engine should feel like from the factory. I bought the aggressive version for the manual. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE! I was initially afraid that stop and go traffic might be badly affected, but it behaves really nice in slow traffic. There is now very little throttle lag when you step on the accelorator pedal. The car actually feels like it was just chipped.
All in all this really is the best bang for the buck for a W203 with the M271 motor. Good job SLKFANS for bringing a new product to the forum and dealing with those product bashers.

There is a square notch that the top of the pedal assy. has to go into. If the wire gets stuck in there it doesn't install correctly. Mine tried to do that. The other thing is all the extra wire that has to go somewhere up in there with the Spring Booster installed could be getting caught in the steering shaft, which is right there. try a zipp tie to keep all of the extra together it worked pretty well to controll the wiring during the reinstall.

Hey all,
I pretty new here but so far the mods I have for performance/sound would be resonator delete, sprint booster and dual intake cones on my 04 c320. I ran the 1/4 mile with just the intakes and my fastest time was 15.46 without E85. Now with the sprint booster, resonater delete and with E85 my fastest time was 15.248. So I know the car is faster but thats also with E85, which I rarely use. So just to give some info, that the sprint booster seems to have helped, but im gonna go back and try the quarter mile without E85 and see what I run. Interesting enough each time I ran in DynoMode my time was slower, due to the launch having so much torque. Also launching at 3000 to 3500 rpms helped that too.

I put my Sprint Booster up for sale if anyone is interested
MB Sale forum
I like the acceleration but it's too aggressive for my daily driving.
