You also came across a picture that looks disgusting.
I don't understand what they were trying to get with the 'F1' style nose? It looks okay on short snouted cars like the SLK (R171) but the R230 looks horrible with it, and the SLR can only pull it off because I've never seen the car WITHOUT the nose.

It's not so bad, but it looks very snubbed the way it is. They should have brought the hood line down more to make it look thinner. That, or make the center nose smaller to match the size of the front end of the car.

I speak for all coupers when I say this: it does NOT look good on a coupe, as it would a sedan. But at least it was something that we've never seen before, and I hope we won't be seeing it in real life.

nice mod
thanks for the idea. with a few minor modifications, it would definitely look awesome on the coupe. f1 styling on the sports coupe? definitely a yes as it gives the coupe a more styling depthness. as sporty as the coupe already is, the addition of this modification will enhance the beauty of the sportscoupe some more.

Actually, I was thinking about doing a custom front bumper/hood like this, but decided against it. Looking at it now, it looks okay. I wouldn't say it necessarily is "ugly", but it gets the "uniqueness" points.
No matter what, these pics are definitely photoshop and in order for it to work, they'd have to re-do the front bumper as well.
