Wiring gurus need help with steering wheel!

As some of you know I put a carPC in my C.

Well I hate the flip out screen and one thing I want to do is mold in the screen but I want to get my steering wheel volume buttons to work first so I don’t have to touch the screen for volume. I have found a USB keyboard that I can take apart and use just the volume buttons pluged into the pc via usb, which are momentary switchs.

All I need is to tap into the momentary volume buttons on the steering wheel. I hope the connections are not optical. Can anyone help me locate the wires? I will pull it apart on my own but I always try to find out as much info as I can first. I would think they would be in the stock harness of my radio but i did not see any listing on the diagram I found. Thanks

all the steering wheel buttons are controlled via a 3 pin network straight to the instrument cluster. they are not seperate.

Yeah I just found that out that sucks I really wanted to get that to work. I think I read somewhere that one of the major stereo manufactures had an adapter though but cant find it the thread, I think it was a European model though. Thanks for the input though!
