I like bmw sport seats much better than mb C320/C230 seats. They look and feel better. I wish we could pay extra to get the seats like those in the C55. They are nice.

Ive been in both G's, and the FX...I'd take exception to 'it being everywhere'. Its a much softer leather, and as such feels wonderful when you first sit down. However, as the owner of several vehicles with leather interiors over the years, the softer the leather, the quicker it wears. Also, the MB tex stuff does wear like iron. Look at some of the older cars.

I'm not bashing the C230, I just think Infiniti exceeds common perception and is a step above other Japanese makers. Will love my C230 every bit or more, I'm sure.
There's no doubt that Infinity has finally come into its own, and definately has the most compelling lineup of all the asian luxo brands. Acura is selling warmed over Accords and Civics, and Lexus has cemented itself as the car for luxury appliance buyers.

The other thing I dont like is that Inifiniti is notorious for rotors warping, and the car is horrible in the snow and I need to depend on the car in almost all conditions. It is however a quick car, with what now 298hp?! But the straw that broke the camels back was the dealers around here just suck!
Nissan interiors in general need some work. I thought it was neat that Infinity was exploring some new ground in design, but the "panasonic' silver plastic did look pretty cheap. The 350Z is one of the cheapest feeling and looking interiors of any new car Ive been in lately. You can't argue with the performance, but its obvious corners were cut to meet the price.

most japanese lux cars seem very nice initially, but it gets old quick. when my friend got his fx, i was surprised, but the second time i was in the car, it just seemed plasticky and not as elegant as german designs. most japanese cars are built as disposable so when you reach 100k miles, you better get ready for serious rattles. all the buttons and lights dont seem intuitive and the seemingly plush soft leather wears worse than 'football' grain leather mb cars come with. most bang for a buck, yes but far from classic.

Can someone explain to me what is so exceptional about the C-Class/C230 interior? I mean, it's nice, but what is there to rave about? the 2004 C240 loaner I had was pure junk inside. And the 2005's with the digital climate but analog knobs, useless phone buttons, no sunglass holder, bland stereo appearance, fake leather (I know most people don't have an issue with this), lack of MB insignia...hardly pulse raising. At night it does all look very pretty. Exterior is stunning, interior is ok, IMHO.

Lol, I seem more like a basher than an owner, I really do like the car a lot...I'm just trying to understand the MB owner mindset...

Don't even try to understand the MB owners mindset or why someone buys any particular car, it's very personal.
For me:

The car doesn't matter, be it a Honda Civic or a Porsche 911, so long as you are happy with the car and enjoy it.

From your posts I really do wonder if you are happy with what you bought. Don't try and understand other peoples mindset, try and determine the reasons that you decided to buy your car

It's not that I'm unhappy with my purchase at all...I just think people are seduced by the star, and before I turn to the darkside I'm trying to keep things real!! :p

          For me:
          • I walk up to my C230 SS and looking at it makes me feel good
          • I get in and look around and it makes me feel good
          • I start the engine, put it in gear, drop the clutch and pull away and guess what, it makes me feel good
          • When I see someone looking at my car, yep, it makes me feel good

lol! that's another asian car with an awful interior but i wasn't going to say anything! I had huge expectations for that car after seeing the sharp exterior and nice wheels and brakes then i sat in the car and looked at the radio and dashboard, WOAH that was a bad experience!! that radio, i can't even think of words to describe how terrible it is! looks like it came straight out of a nissan from 1989!

Hey joe welcome to the forums big guy. Before you proceed look up on the forum kleemann and renntech--- much cheaper power packages than brabus including chip and ICU as well as headers and cams. Check those sites out and tell us what you think then. 250hp not going to be easy to do unless you spend like 10-12k and no offense, but most c class owners don't have that much money lying around But please look up those companies before you post cause although I'm being nice there are alot of people who would tell you just like this "STFF" aka SEARCH THE F-ckINg FORUM. But post back and let us know what you decide.

Kleeman Supercharger will bring the C240 output to 260-280 HP. That is the most effective way to really increase the HP, without resorting to rebuilding your engine to a larger displacement (like Brabus). I was considering the Kleeman supercharger previously, but decided against it as it would have costed close to $20000 CAD (includes shipping, tax, labour, parts, etc). Instead, I traded up to a new car.

A simple ECU upgrade (like Powerchip) can add about 15 HP and 15 lb-ft of torque, which is definitely NOTICEABLE, as I had done that to my old C240. Pulleys can also be added, but I'm unsure about the power gain with those.

Wow...with that money for upgrade, I'll just get an AMG model instead of mod'ing.

It's really best to sell your car and get a different one, it will be cheaper in the long run as you won't have to blame the mod everytime your car has problems and you will get it back in resale value, something mods rarely do. The Kleemann kit is most effective but it's going to cost you over $10K installed. The C240 isn't that bad, mostly just the low end when you first accellerate, once you get going it has good punch on the highway, maybe even better than the C230K.

before you go to bed each nite, put a car part under your pillow. you will wake in the morning to modded parts from the engine fairy.

If i had the money to throw down on hi-profile mod parts for a car, trust me it wouldnt be done on a C. That means you'd have the money to throw down on something WAY harder. Z06, AMG series, Ferrari, Porsche etc.

you could rip out the c240 engine and drop an e55 engine in there and pretend it is turbo not supercharged.

I HAVE A 2005 C240 AND I AM LOOKING FOR PERFORMANCE PARTS AND PLACES WHERE I CAN ADD MORE HORSE POWER. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY A TWIN TURBO SETUP? AND WHAT IS THE BEST TWIN TURBO TO BUY? I HEARD THAT SEQUENTAL TWIN TURBO IS REALLY NICE, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BUY FROM? PLEASE POST THANKS
          Friend,
I like you was seeking performance upgrades. Unfortunately your C240 has very very little availabe. To install the upgrades you are looking for will be cost prohibitive. Had you researced the vehicle first you would have found out that a C32, C320 and of course the C350 would have been better choices. And you'd probably be money ahead with the performance you want and the reliabilty of a newer vehicle. There is stuff available do a search in the header above.
          Good luck
