I would say don't bother spending more money on Remus resonator....just get the muffler and change the piping to 2.5" from the cat to the muffler box....and don't forget take off the resonator too...

Don't worry...your car won't sound like jap imports without the middle muffler/silencer/resonator ... Trust me...I've got Remus with straight pipe from the cat to the muffler..... and oh...You'll get a few hp at the top end...

eisenmann resonator
Hi, Does anyone know what the purpose of the resonator is. What will happen if you change stock one with eisenmann? Also will a eisenmann resonator work with Brabus exhaust?
Thanks, Mike

yes, it's possible, just bring it to your local muffler shop.

btw, a picture of your exhaust and the tip you want to use would help us make better comments too.

Please post pics of your existing exhaust tips,

If you want single oval AMG tip, the ones from the pre-2003 S55 is your only choice. If you want dual oval, get the one from the SLK32. These are the only two tips that can be sold separately.

Harris,
will the AMG oval tip exhaust from the SLK32 fit this
rear valence configuration ?

If so, what modification if any has to happen to the rear
valence/bumper ? Any other details ?

and finally, the proverbial... how much $ ? and part # ?

thanks !

I think you can get the single oval tip without cutting the bumper. The part number is 170-490-0427. It is USD190.

Thanks for the info. Just curious. how much $ & what is the part # for the SLK32 dual oval tip ??? in case I do want to get medieval with my rear bumper...

I think the dual will look much better on a Coupe than a standard single oval,
which is pretty much what it has now.

got to go and
