do you have any undercar pictures with the actual pipe?
what do you mean by straight pipe with stock muffler? replaced resonator or removed cat?

It sounds totally awesome

here are the pictures of the installation. It replaced the resonator, when I first removed the resonator with this straight pipe, it already gave it a deeper tone, now its a lil more throaty. lets see if any things change after a few more hundred miles.

one thing i like abt remus compared to eisenmann is that the tips look better (i like the chrome tip rather than the racing type)

but the eisenmann still sounds better than the remus

looks great advans!
i also like remus cuz of chrome tips... brabus/eisenmann tips are too sporty (or pipey)...
haven't heard the sound of eisenmann in person, but i'm 100% happy w/ remus...

i agree, those pipey tips is not my cup of tea.

the sound of eisenmann is nice. i love it, i like it better than the remus, but...the eisenmann is a lil too loud for me. i hang out with c230_05 and stillkickin, they both have eisenmann race exhaust, sounds pretty good, can hear them a mile away. literally a mile away

Has anyone tried or decided to add another resonator to keep your benz a sleeper? If so did it actually quite it down. Did you loss any performance?
Does a resonator hold back power?

I think that most people are in agreement that the actual hp added by an exhaust is minimal, though my buttdyno did notice a little topend increase when my Eisenmann was installed.

If you're concerned about noise, a better choice would probably be to just leave the exhaust and get a tip that you like better put in, or just leave it stock. An increase in noise is generally what most notice with an aftermarket exhaust anyway in a Benz.

Though I just failed on my other car here in Joisey due to exhaust noise; will probably fail on the Benz as well next month.

PM stillkickin, he has a crappy resonator on his c230k with eisenmann race.

I just recently put on a REMUS CAT-BACK, with a eisenmann straight pipe, not much increase in HP feel, and sound wise is not much from my stock wit no resonator, just a lil more throaty.

c230 exhaust modification

I have a '04 c230 Sport Sedan and I'm thinking about getting the eisenhaus race exhaust. Would it be worth spending the money and if anyone has that exhaust how loud is the exhaust? And if anyone has the C230 w/ Eisenahus on video that would be even better.

I don't want something that is obnoxisly loud. Thanks for the help.

hey man, if you dont want something loud, eisenmann is not the way to go.

C230_05 and stillkickin has the eisenmann race on their c230k.

c230_05 has a straight pipe with the race.
stillkickin has a resonator with the race.

both are extremly loud, after seeing it in person, I went with remus.

Hi,

I'm not sure how the eisenmann sport sounds. but the race is way too loud for me. I recently installed a Remus Catback, seach threads that I have started, and theres a videoclip of my stock exhaust without the resonator, and then my remus with the eisenmann straightpipe. (the remus is a little louder now and a little more throaty, but not as loud as the eisenmann).

I am waiting for c230_05 to come back from greece, so we can do a compare.

Since you don't want something that is too loud, I recommend the stock 05 or 06 sport exhaust. It actually sounds pretty good at around 4000 rpm. Check out this video clip.

or jus pull the resonator like i did, to be honest, i dunno how the 4cyl non sc exhaust would be, would remind me of a honda/acura. my v6 sounds super sexy with the resonator pulled and the sport exhaust, thing rips and is so throaty, yet not too loud. the 05 link above sounds nice, jus needs a rumble, but the sc whine is nice. at 4k in my 06 v6 it growls and rips hard.

Exhaust Silencers for silence & power?

I just had the Kleemann header installed on my c230. Its been about a week and a half and 700 miles or so. The performance is unbeilevalble! The tone in the exhaust did change alittle but its nothing like an after market exhaust. I was wondering if anyone has tried these exhaust silencers. The Nippon ones also claim some mid power I guess because it builds up alittle pressure before the traps open. My main concern is to try to get my car alittle quiter, but if there are silencers that claim more power why not get those.
Remember I am not getting these these for power, it was just something I came across while looking for silencers. http://www.nipponpower.com/view.phtm...st%3A+Silencer
