Anyplace to get the Remus or Eisenmann mufflers at a discount? Is it a straight bolt on or do I need a muffler shop to do it? Did any remove the resonator to create a little more noise? The C7 package doesn't have it but the standard coupe does.
I think it wil be louder on a car with a pulley kit. I drove an SLK230 with an AMG muffler before the pulley and it was very quiet, after the pulley it sounded much better.

U can get it from CEC wheels. I got mine there. And they are a hude distributer for Remus.
Mine might sound a little louder also since i dont have the resonator.
I had a muffler shop do mine but thats because i was not exactly sure how and i wanted it done right. I know u have installed a pully and have done some other things so i would say u can definitly do it yourself. All u have to do is somehow cut the regular muffler off and then bolt this one one.
If u look at the pic i posted of mine when it was in the box u will see it has a small down pipe and u need to cut the one on the car to fit the length of the new muffler.

I would probably take it to a muffler shop to have the resonator removed and a pipe welded in it's place. If you like the way it sounds now wait till you get a pulley, it will roar at WOT.

If u want something loud there are not to many exhausts for this car that would be loud. Unless u get a weld on ricer muffer for 80 bucks. I personally think the way mine sounds is perfect nice and deep and not loud during regular driving. But when u floor it, it really sounds unbelivable. I never thought it could sound that good.

Does Anyone Have a Kleemann Exhaust on their W203?
I got mine on order and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it? Does it sound good? Any extra power?

Carlsson Quad Exhaust
I plan on installing the Carlsson Quad Exhaust on my C240 to match my rims. Is it possible to install this system without affecting my car's performance in any way? I dont plan on modding anything on my engine.........ive heard from unreliable sources that adding exhaust systems to a stock engine would result in loss of engine power????????????????
Anyone who has installed this system? Seems one of us posters here has this system, but i forgot the nick.

hmmmm do i need to put those rear lips for the quad exhaust to fit well against the bottom of the bumper????? but im really concerned bout power loss, cz the c240 is slow enough....and...with heavy 18wheels....i cant make it slower.....

More Flow = More Power?
I’m no expert but I don’t think that a Quad exhaust (2 Muffler Setup) would cause you to loose HP. People change the exhaust system to gain HP and prevent back pressure. If you put one muffler after the other (not exactly possible) Then yes, but the Quad system puts one muffler per down pipe which should release some pressure and possibly give you some gain in HP.
The Quad system looks great.
More Flow = More power would likly be a true statment toa limit no back presure at all could hurt performance but i dont think you hit it with carlsons system.
Go for it.

For n/a stock cars it's supposed to be better with a little backpressure..with turbo and supercharged, less is better. As for losing power, I think Carlsson has done enough r&d on the exhaust to make sure it doesn't lose power...if anything, you might gain a little (emphasis on little). A poorly made exhaust can definitely cause power loss, but in this case i think it's pretty safe (for an example of this, check out this month's Sport Compact Car, where they try to fabricate a custom exhaust for the 350Z...they lost a little hp). The Carlsson exhaust sure looks nice though.
Anyone get the Carlsson replica lip kit on ebay? I figure for a lip kit the fitment shouldn't be bad...looks good, and it's pretty cheap too..

Carllson quad exhaust has a pretty nice setup, it actually has 2 different muffler(one for each side), different from what remus usually had; just one muffler with pipe come out behind it. And carlson cost twice as much. FYI carllson exhaust is made by supersprint so you might be able to source a cheaper one from supersprint

2001 Silver C320
i just bought it and had it installed so i know what im talking about. first, you have to buy at least the rear skirt spoiler with the cutout for the pipes to fit, or you can buy the whole skirt, called the RS style, which also has the cutout. the new exhaust will not cause you to lose any horsepower at all. in fact, you should have better airflow because the new Carlsson setup is larger than the original and has two real exhaust points. also the pipes are very thick compared to other exhaust setups for the C ive seen, it is very well made and looks very good in person. especially if you have the rims to match, this exhaust is a must have. ill have pictures up tomarrow or friday for sure.

hey E_Corleone
If i dont buy the rear lip spoiler, would d gap between the bumper and exhaust tips to wide?????? Does the install require some welding or is it a direct bolt on? Lastly, how does it sound? BTW, since you have the rear bumper spoiler....did u have to drill holes in it for the install? thanks.

My New Carlsson Quad Exhaust
Just got pics of my new exhaust. It sticks out a little to far on the right, but im gonna have it adjusted. I also have the rear skirt spoiler on. It looks so good in person, and does not sound overpowering or ricey at all. Right now, i have my ride de-badged, but have the rear badge to put on, along with my original C320 badge. I can't decide if i like it better de-badged, or not. What do you guys think?
