That Supersprint is, no doubt, a fine exhaust.
It’s probably more cost effective to source a competent shop to achieve the appearance you seek. OE MB systems tend to be highly efficient. Horsepower gains from aftermarket exhaust are typically nonexistent, but don’t let that stop you.

There is probably something similar nearby to you.

I agree... not really looking for HP, i started with a few clean cometic changes and now im moving to air filter and exhast... mostly just for looks and sound. i dont expect any performance improvements but it will sure look and feel better, (if anything i might taking a bit of a risk my replacing quality MB parts, but im ok with that.)
looks like the bumper will be trimed a bit to fit the two tips, i will most likely do it, i will post pics and such... thanks guys.
Im in OC cali most of the time but live in san pedro CA!

Nothing snazzy like yours or MJ50’s, but after seeing those posts about their work, I paid them a visit.
Hardly worthy of inclusion in an ‘aftermarket’ thread, but here’s what they did:
They proved professional and reasonable. Good people. Thanks for the tip! The exhaust is done for now.
Oh yeah, it barks through pretty well with the LET headers.

hmm...I'm still wondering why you guys listed the W203 V6 muffler for $712.69 when REMUS-USA listed the retail price at $589 for the same exhaust before tax. also for the 1.8l muffler the retail is $575 for the round tips where your price is $695.
also it's odd that REMUS doesn't list you guys as their selling partners http://www.remus-usa.com/html/contact.html
any reason? care to explain?
EDIT: nvm...you guys are MIMOUSA.com one of the reseller listed.

REMUSShop is the retail site for MimoUSA.com.
www.REMUS-USA.com is owned by Remus Austria, they did not update the site with 2008 pricing as we, with MaxMoto, fixed the 2008 pricing and made our own PDF files. REMUS AUSTRIA is utterly slow in updating their own sites, I don't see www.remus-usa.com being updated for quite a while.

I see that you all only carry the muffler in a square shaped angled tip (I know you said they discontinued it 2 years ago). Is there any way you can get a round shaped straight tip? I see that the muffler for the C230K is a round shaped straight tip design, my question is if you do not carry a round shaped straight tip for the C240 could the muffler you have for the C230K fit in its place seeing that it has the design I would like? I have both cars (C240 and C230K) and muffler wise they look the same so I assume the C230K muffler would fit the C240, but I wanted to ask. Thanks.

HELP!!! picking exhaust system
Hi guys. I have an 05 C230K on pretty much stock. I want to install an exhaust system as my first aftermarket mod. Question is, I don't know what exhaust system to install. First off, I am unfamiliar with what exhaust systems are best for german cars, or specially my c230. So, what is the best exhaust system for my car? ( I don't want it to sound like a jap ricer car). I want an exhaust system on my car that makes a powerful sound similar to german cars. If there aren't, then what exhaust system is most popular on the c230's? Or what do you guys recommend?
btw if i want to mod this, what exactly do i need to change? Can it just be the mufflers and tips? I need clearification how what things i need in order to totally change my exhaust.
my goal is to have my car sound good, not really much to increase velocity..but any performance parts can still do.

Eisenmann Race! There's one for sale in classifieds, $550 I think.

there's pretty much two routes you can go- remus/kleemann/eisenmann/supersprint (expensive) or a "custom" setup from your local exhaust shop using a magnaflow or flowmaster muffler (much cheaper). unless you buy a header, one exhaust system is about as good as another- they are mainly for sound, not much power to be gained. i ditched the resonator and isntalled 3" stainless pipe all the way back to a flowmaster 40 series. i really like the sound. anthuny85 also ditched the resonator, but installed a magnaflow- i really like the sound of his also.
the other more expensive options sound really good- but i, personally, couldn't justify 5x the cost for the same performance- mine is stainless and the welds are just as good as any of the bolt on systems.

from what i heard through friends...they say that magnaflow and flowmaster mufflers are usually for american and jap cars. ive heard of what eisenmann installed in the c230 sounds like..im wonderin if the flowmaster and magnaflow symuff's sound like that. again, i dont want it to sound like american muscle or jap ricer. What is the price range of magnaflow or flowmaster, and what product series is best for the c230?

I have some friends at a local exhaust shop who has done all of my cars (with a custom set-up) as well as a few x-mas presents for some of my friends and parents cars...
I dumped the resonator and did a custom Magnaflow set-up and get tons of complements on the set-up...and...personally LOVE it!
The shop is down in Southern Orange County and I'm not sure where you're located...but the price was great and end-result was exactly what I was looking for + a ton more

you can search youtube for clips of just about any exhaust. out of all of the above mentioned choices- the only thing that sounds remotely close to "jap" is the eisenmann race- only because it's the loudest of the bunch. i would probably say that the remus is the most quiet out of the bunch.
i paid $275 for mine. that was to rebuild it, using stainless, from the flange on back (new flange included) as well as the muffler. i wanted to be able to unbolt the new setup and bolt the old setup back in it's place- no welding or cutting. you could get it done much cheaper if you just had the resonator cut out and a new section of pipe welded in it's place- same for the muffler

First and foremost, you need help with STFF
Secondly, you need to read through the stickies at the top of the w203 forum, especially the LINK: AFTERMARKET & OEM MODIFICATIONS / DIY - FAQ's
At that point, you'd realize that there is a MASSIVE thread that you could have read through and gotten all the answers you wanted in the LINK: W203/CL203 Aftermarket Exhaust Thread - For every version of the w203
Lastly, your thread is getting MERGED (just be thankful I didn't lock it, like I've stated in LINK: MUST READ - To All W203 Owners/posters

Is anyone running a Magnaflow muffler? I am looking at the universal 14815 ss with dual round tips. I can't post any pics here at work but they look sick and sound great.

so for those of you who have installed magnaflow or flowmaster, is it loud, and does it sound like a tuned german car? And how much are such exhausts at most? and what product series?
I live in Pasadena, CA.
Sounds like the eisenmann sport exhaust fits well, but its hella expensive. So what resembles the eisenmann sport exhaust and is a lot more cheaper?

I don't like the sound of the Eisenmann either. 5 pre-made mufflers that I like for the w203 (Remus, Kleemann (obviously), Brabus (which is basically Remus), Carlsson and Weltmeister. If you're going for affordable, the most affordable one is Remus. It keeps the car sounding like a Euro, especially with a resonator delete.
Go to AAA muffler in Los Angeles. They do custom work ALL the time and did my custom dual Kleemann.

Read through this thread and I'm sure you'll find the posts of people who have gone with magnaflow.

why would you not put a magnaflow on your car? why does it matter if it was made for the car or not? the muffler magnaflow uses on the premade bmw system is just the same muffler as all of the rest of theirs. all of their mufflers are just straight through perforated (*sp?) pipe with stainless wool/packing- all within a stainless muffler case? the only thing that's "made" for the car is the piping- which any competent shop can do.
also, for the OP- here are a couple sound clips of anthuny85's magnaflow/res delete setup.

I'm running the Mangaflow (resonator delete) and absolutely LOVE it. Feels great and sounds even better. Like I said and not to toot my own horn - but I constantly get compliments from people specifically on my exhaust and quesitons about how and what I run on my car. A handful of the people I've raced have complimented the sound of it as well. PERSONAL OPINION - WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING
