"retro-fitted" non-command navigation? any details?

http://www.emercedesbenz.com/Oct06/2...rofitting.html

An MB Branded Garmin for those of us that don't want to shell out the big $$$ on command.

Anyone got any additional details? Will it come to the US?

The part number for the US Street Pilot II is B6 782 3719. The bracket part number is B6 782 3723. Start hounding your parts guy .

From the looks of it, the navigation unit is from the c3XX range of Garmin Street Pilots, probably a modified c340 or c350. I'm wondering if you can get just the bracket and then install one of the non MB-branded GPS units.

The bracket free of cables looks nice. I wish they'd chosen Nuvi 350/360..

The article says that its voice navigation is integrated with car audio.

Is that part number for the standard or plus model (w/bluetooth)?

I just got the garmin 660 and it's pretty cool. It connects to bluetooth and let's you make calls and listen to music over the radio.

Too bad they used the street pilot and not the 660 or 350/360 types.
