NOPE.

Think about it...the lensing element is the "frosty" freshnel lens cover. In clear reflector style housings, the "lensing" is on the reflector itself. Even if you could get just the clear covers, the light output would be horrible and unfocused.

BTW, why do you LED guys keep wasting money on resistors? For less than 5 bucks, you can scotchlock a second set of sockets on and use the original 194's as your "resistors" to draw the needed current to keep the computer from shutting down the line. Back when I had my frosties and LED's that's what I did. Cheap, and easy to return to stock. Frosties are gone now, and Like the halogen's slight amber cast contrasting the blue glare from the BiX! Get BiX, don't waste money on the clear housings.

can't be done...the frosty lines help spread the light beam
either get clear headlights or Bi-X

my resistors actually cost me less than 5 bucks for both sides. and besides, its much easier, just snap.

rlee,

I'd get a set of bi-x if the price is right. but again, like powa said, HIDs are brighter output than bi-x. the bi-x on the E seems yellow to me hahaha

outraurleague...your link is correct...

rahstylez...go to the 194/168 bulbs section...your bulb is in there...just make sure you do not get the LED's as they will have errors...just scroll down and look for the red 194 bubl...your bulb is basically called 194 or W5w (5w Wedge bulb)...

honestly in my opinion rahstylez...that red underbody and those incoming red city lights...it takes the Benz's class out of the car...that's just my 2 cents though...if you think it's sick for your girlfriend to drive...then I guess to each his own.

You can get those bulbs anywhere...even in red...because these bulbs are also used for sidemarker lights...and yes we are all on the same page...there have been about 10 threads on this topic and everything...I think Advans himself got a LED hooked up to them....and the reason u needed ballast for your lowbeam headlights is because those are HID's.....these 5-watt wedge bulb replacements aren't HID's... or anywhere relevant to them besides being "lights"

You need resistors because the LEDs don't draw 5 watts of current. At least that's what i read. Search and you shall find.

exactly lol.

Outland suggested in adding a additional socket instead of load resistors, but I perfer load resistors.

LEDs draw less than 1w of current.
