MY NEWLY INSTALLED BIX .. It got me an Error msg

Need Help ..
First of all, it is my C.. I 've never post a pic on the forum.
It's got sport pack ,AMG body , wheel and K-Box.... oh also that CF grill.

Here comes my problem.
I bought a 2nd hand of Bix OEM BIX to replace my original halogen. It looks clean and it's working alright but only two problems. (the brand new OE parts are 1500 USD from outside source per pair and 1500 USD from a MB dealer for one side)

1. As you can see the beam on the wall , the right hand side bix is less bright then the left hand side , can anyone tell me why is that ? I need to know what are the possibilities so I can get back to the seller.

2. I just installed them on last saturday and havent got a chance to drive the car during the night til tonite. So I drove around 10 min from my office to have my dinner. Then on my way home, about 10 min driving i got that Error msg on my screen . DIPPED BEAM RIGHT and LEFT But my lights are still working.
Why is that ? Is it because I have to set Xenon=present thing on my ECU ?
Or could it be something else.
I am going to send my car to the dealer but dont want to get ripped off by them . please kindly share your ideas or if u ever experience the problem. So I at least know what's ahead of me when I go to the MB dealer.

BTW, I did the installation of bix at a non-mBdealer shop.
I saw them ran the Star check after the installation, but do not see them adjust anything.

Thanks a lot.

Setting the xenon=present is mandatory, the lights don't fail right away, sometimes when you need them most.

are those bi-xenons headlights? they look like the 05-07 clear headlights with a xenon/HID kit. if it is a xenon/HID kit some brands come up with an error message.

So if i have my dealer set the xenon=present for me and adjust the light pattern , that error msg will not pop out again ??

I thought without setting xenon=present the light wouldnt even be working. But it worked , that confuses me .

So no one feels the pictures of light patterns show different brightness comparing left and right ? I thought it was obvious ..
Please tell me how could that be , if u see they are different ...

They are not those DEPOs from the EBay..
But they do have little problems since I feel the right and left are not the same K . what are the possibilities of that ?

I did play with the alignment knobs abit cuz after the installation I found the beam was too high . I didnt have time to send the car to the dealer yet, so i just lowered my beams in the mean time so I dont blind the opposite coming traffic with my light.

Could the error msg comes from I lowered the beam too low ?

I talked to the guy who sold me the bix about the brightness difference.
He told me he would give me couple more light bulbs so i can use them to see if i can match the left headlight from these two bulbs.

Does that make any sense ? what exactly controls the K rate of the xenon.
?

according to previous threads, some people said that the bix will start flickering or give errors after it has been on for a while if the xenon is not set to present

Eventually, I've got someone set the ECU for me. So as for now no more error msg.
But the light still gives me trouble, anyone can tell me what might be the causes of different color like that ?
1. light bulb ? read a similar thread , ppl said it ought to be light bulb.
2. stablizer or the ballast ?
3. the projector lense ?

if it's 2 and 3 .. then I am in big trouble. ..

different manuf,
different model bulb,
different lot #,
different age,

.....all will contribute to difference in bulb color. one would need to isolate
this to determine why Kelvin differential between your two bulbs. there is
one more thought...and that is, the ballasts are supplying the same bulbs
differently. so you can swap left with right ballasts to see if the color
changes sides. if not, then focus on the bulbs as the causal effect.

tip: if one bulb goes out, better to buy a PAIR and to ask for same lot# if
you are at all picky of color match.

a suggestion. take the bulbs out and switch them. if you still have the same prob- then it is probably the ballast or ignitor. if not and now the opposite sides have diff colors then it's the bulb itself.

haha, just read the same damn thing above lol..
