2002 C230K, 2013 BMW 328, 2015 BMW X5
Spanked a W203 Sedan
Nothing major. Was on the 405 South in South Bay about noonish on Thursday.
A grey W203 debagged sedan comes up on me pretty quick. He rides my bumper looking to get by, but he is boxed in for a bit. When the right lane clears I hear him jump on it. Looking at the car from the side I see DARK tint, big rims and I'm thinking, "Well should I? Nah. Hmm, Ohh well if it must be done."
He is full tilt into the pedal, and I jump on it, It took just a bit to catch up, gotta love the draft. I pulled over to the left lane, we have a great runway in front of us, and I stay in the pedal. I do a strong run leaving him about 5 cars behind me. I slow down, and he comes by with his window down, with a WTF look on his face. Guy was cool to give me props. If the guys is on the board, hey your car is sharp looking. What year and engine do you have?

Yeah, but I think I have to take that stuff down. I don't even want to think about tangoing with your M. Just a clear out HOT car. Are the 2 doors Ms in the same style as the convertible for 06? I am starting to car shop. Right now my list is huge.

the 2006's are the same style. the 2006 is the last year for any of the M3's in the e46 chassis. the new M3 coupe should be out as an 08 model and the hardtop convertible should be out right when I'm ready to trade this M in...

Eff, but I know without a doubt, I'd get killed by your 350. The C350 Sport is a car I'm looking at, but I hate the idea of having a sport suspension that I'm going to replace for Coil Overs.

2002 C230 Coupe(M111)
The Best C230 to own is the one with the M111. The M271 would be second choice, and the anemic V6 C230 would be off my shopping list. I went on a business trip a couple of weeks back, and we took my car, since the dude I travel with often has a habit of always being on the cell. We spanked a few cars in impromtu streetlight to streetlight and on ramp races, and traveling at an ave 80mph still got 31mpg for the trip! The best was the WTF face we saw as we spanked this guy in an Acura TL-S. My traveling companion said he was impressed with the cool sound the engine makes when you get on it, he expected the drone of a four banger, but really liked the sound.
I do as well. Its quite addictive, and I just love how the M111 seems to accellerate effortlessly at low revs. And yes, my car does have a few mods, but given the cost, its been cheap power!
