Wel, I'd never thought it would happen, but it did. I sold my 05 C230K for the new 07 Lexus IS250. I learned a lot from this forum and it helped me immensly. There's just so much more features on the IS. But still, nothing beats the feel of driving a Mercedes. It just feels more solid. Here are some shots of my 05 C230K put back to stock before I traded her in. Also some shots of my new IS250 in Glacier Frost Mica (white with blue pearl).

I was really looking into the w204, but I don't like the rear. Feature wise, there are more standard options on the Lexus. The color is also pretty cool too. I guess I just got bored with my car. I really enjoyed it. I do miss my Mercedes but at the same time, I just didn't wanna be stuck with repair charges after the warranty expired.

In keeping with my long winded post called 'Rant...' perhaps you will now be on the Lexus forum wondering how to get more power from the 2.5 inline 6 which at 204hp and 185lb/ft and a couple hundred pounds heavier than the 1.8Kompresser got to be slower.
Anyhow it is a nice car though I have to wonder if Toyota was thinking correctly by dropping the 3L six in the previous IS300 with 215hp/218lbft and going with the lessor powerplant. The IS350 is a different beast all together with 50% increase in both items over the IS250

2005 C230 Sedan 6spd
Come on guys, give him some credit for sharing his new ride. Nothing wrong with the IS250, reliable and pretty well designed interior. Personally, I've been considering trading in my car for the new G35 Sedan 6spd.

Congratulations on the new acquisition. I personally like the IS250 quite a bit myself. Also, the G35 is termendous value for money.
In my short test drive of an IS350, I found the handling to be quite proficient. What do you think about the handling of your IS250 compared to that of your C230? Any differences?
If Japanese cars such as the IS and the G continue to improve as they have, they will probably be in BMW and Mercedes-Benz territory very soon in their ability to handle turns.

white and whiter
not bad, congrats.
i drove my friend's is250. power doesn't seem like it advertised, but otherwise fine for daily driving. the steering is a little light tho. definitely more feature/gadgets for sure.
